I just want you to tell my story, it may help someone if they are going through something similar. I was always looking out for stories like this on this site

I got my BFP 3 months after my first miscarriage. Naturally I was over the moon and treated this as a brand new pregnancy and told myself I will not be comparing it to my previous one

at 5 weeks I was feeling wonderful and then the 6th week came and the nausea and fatigue hit

6 and half weeks came and I went to the loo and there was light pink on the tissue which went and didn’t return for a week. That also went in a day and then I was on my 7th week and it happened again . I booked a private ultrasound and everything was fine and in the right place , the right size and a heartbeat!! It was definitely worth the money!

The nurse saw no blood around the baby so put it down to a sensitive cervix with everything being so vascular.

Two days later I was sitting at my desk, got up and felt a gush down there. I went to the loo screamed for my husband as a kidney size clot fell out of my with red blood. We went straight to A&E . Spoke to a nurse , got referred to a doctor . I got no answers as to why this happened . The doctor then arranged an appt with the EPU for the next day . I went home sobbing and googling the hell out of what this may mean and naturally thinking the worst

The next day I went to the EPU to be told by the nurse that they don’t scan on the weekends! Oh great!

After explaining to her what happened she said it didn’t sound like a miscarriage and assured me this all sounds normal and even had a look at my cervix. It was closed and everything looked normal. She believed this to by some blood which had gathered on my cervix over time and it just flushed out . I repeated the same questions many times to her to ensure I was hearing correctly. she then booked me for a scan on Monday
Monday arrived and I went for my scan to be told there is a healthy heartbeat and everything looked normal. They couldn’t see where the bleeding was coming from.

In my first trimester i continued to have bleeding when wiping. I went in to get my cervix checked a few times and it was always closed. I even got prescribed progesterone but I didn’t take it.
The bleeding just randomly stopped in the second trimester and fast forward 6 months I have a healthy beautiful baby girl in my arms.

So I just wanted to say bleeding isn’t always bad news. Sometimes there is no reason for it and can happen just because everything is super vascular down there when pregnant. I know it’s not always benign but in this case and many others it can be. Just stay away from google. It will drive you insane!

Hi OP, exactly the same thing happened to me in both my successful pregnancies. In my case, i was advised to rest up from 6- 12 weeks and the bleeding continued to month 6 or 7. One was a pool of blood under the placenta and the second one was never really explained. I was a bit conflicted about posting because i had an ectopic pregnancy and tube removal in between both pregnancies so i have felt the highs of relief and also the terrible grief of miscarriage but i too also searched for positive stories so sharing in case this also helps anyone out there. Also, that it is very possible to go on and have a successful (in my case quick) next pregnancy after ectopic surgery. Sending much love to anyone going through anything like this now xx

Same happened to me with baby no. 1. I was told to wait until bleeding stopped and then take a pregnancy test, baby was still there doing well, hospital invited me in for a scan as well to check x
