Just wondering. They look clunky and hideous!

I don’t think you need one of the fancy ones, but a chair is nice. I bottle fed and used to take dc in the nursery to feed at night. Ds had reflux and was quite a sicky baby so didn’t feed in bed. I had the ikea poang chair and it was great. I added the foot stool with dc2 and that was game changer. Definitely recommend getting the footstool too.

Whatever suits you. I think some look nice but they do take up space and some are pricey. I was staying in a small flat with no room so didn’t with my first. I’m getting one this time.

Not necessary at all no. But we had a lovely gliding chair with gliding footstool that was the most comfortable thing ever. We kept it for 10 years! I still miss it! If you do get one, invest and use it as a piece of furniture.

This was me too!

No, but having somewhere to feed that isn't just your bed was really useful for me. I used the sofa in the spare room for my son and could watch some TV or read whilst feeding him at night which helped to pass the hours. With my daughter, I just fed her in our bed or took her downstairs, but would have liked a comfy chair somewhere upstairs to feed (just to have the light on and not wake my partner). Also very helpful as a comfy place to sit if you're trying to get them to sleep at the start or middle of the night. I used to sit on my son's floor or on his toy crate which wasn't very comfy!

Necessary, no. But very nice. Four Dc later, ours is still well used for bedtime stories. I also found it helped with back issues, by keeping me upright.

DC3 has just asked if they can have a glider chair for their room....,
