SCARED. HCG levels? Emergency scan?

I am really scared... I am around 4-5weeks (fell pregnant after miscarriage no period so hard to estimate). They did my hcg it was 2007 on sunday and today tuesday it was 3005 is this bad? They said they are concerned and told me to come in tomorrow for an emergency scan and more blood tests?

I think it's meant to double every day? But can't remember. Big hugs to you

HCG should double every 48 - 72 hours so your numbers are looking bang on.

Hcg should, on average, double every 48 hours. Yours has about a 50% increase rather 100%, which is why they're doing further investigation.

It could be nothing and you're hormone rise is just slightly slower than average (up to 72 hours for it to double can be considered normal), or it could be an issue. There's no way to tell just yet I'm afraid.

My guess is they may be worried about an ectopic, as slow rising hcg can be indicative of that (but not always), and they need to try and rule that out before moving forward.

No reason to be worried yet though, especially if you havent been bleeding, see how your new bloods and scan go, all could be just fine.
