8 +3 and getting stabby little pains

Hi guys

New to this - I am 8+3 and today I started getting these little stabby pains on both left and right side -on and off throughout the day - - they are close to the knicker line on both legs if you know what I mean and now and again right in groin/pubic area - not overly painful just very quick little darts then gone - anyone know what this is?

Maybe implantation pains? Best of luck 💐

@Allyyson I had this yesterday! (I'm 8+6), hoping it's just uterus growing pains - at least that's what I've read from my searches on google 🤔

@wtawtaw Oh really - yeah I read about round ligament pain etc but I didn't know if you could get it at 8 weeks or so - hope yours stopped... I keep thinking god i've so much odd little aches and pains to come I can't keep overreacting to everything but..... you still worry

@Allyyson yeah mine has stopped now (was just about yesterday). It was so sharp and quick that it gave me shivers/goosebumps - weird!!! I've got my first midwife appointment tonight so I'll ask then and let you know 🙂
The worry certainly doesn't go away! I had a scan at 7 weeks too, all was looking perfect but I'm terrified in case it's all gone wrong since then. Have you booked an early private scan?

@wtawtaw oh yeah if you could ask that would be great! I had a scan at 7+5 and great - saw heartbeat etc but like you - once the joy of that subsided i started worrying that it had gone wrong since then! I am thinking of doing a 9 week scan this week x Best of luck tonight x

I'm 7 weeks and very similar feeling but more one sided and further up more belly button level. Early scan last week showed all ok so thinking just stretching/ growing pains xx

I had this in my pregnancies and was growing pains

@Allyyson I asked the midwife and she said the shooting pains are indeed lightening crotch (I said online it says only from second tri) but she said lots get it in first tri too and it's just where the uterus is stretching 😁

I had period type cramps up until 20 weeks. Get an early scan if you're worried
