Uncomfortable 30 weeks pregnant?

Hi ladies

just wondering if anyone else has felt really uncomfortable in the third trimester? I know most people will say yes and what did I expect, but I imagined it to be from say 34 weeks onwards when baby is much bigger… At 30 weeks I definitely didn’t think I’d feel so uncomfortable!

i have a small bump to the point where I was sent for a growth scan, so sometimes I do forget how far gone I am… but just the last few days I’ve found it really difficult and sooo uncomfortable!
Bending over to pick things up is now extremely uncomfortable so I’m having to squat (or get others to do it lol)

back is aching constantly and I really struggle to stand too long!

baby is doing all sorts of weird things in there, I literally feel like my ribs are being stretched from the inside every time baby moves and she does a really weird thing where my belly goes into a cone shape and goes really hard until I feel her flip back round again.

on top of that I also feel a lot of pressure in the lower belly… sometimes getting pain when I urinate and where baby’s head is sooo low I’m up and down about 5 times a night.

I did give the midwife a call today to explain how I feel and she was pretty confident it’s all just normal parts of pregnancy and wasn’t worried about UTI’s etc.

im a FTM and don’t have a lot of people to talk to about these things but I do like to know other people’s experiences as it can get really lonely otherwise …. Would appreciate other peoples stories on how they felt at this stage …

I was like this during my first pregnancy too.I remember at Christmas / New Year I felt I was done with it but baby wasn’t due until March 😫Everyones body is different I suppose and some handle pregnancy better than others. Currently pregnant & dreading the back end already.First trimester has been a struggle too. Decided I’ll be taking the earlier maternity leave option of 11 weeks before due date.

Hang in there and do whatever makes you comfortable / happy!

This sounds like Braxton Hicks. I used to get them a lot - bump goes hard and it’s a bit uncomfortable.

Sorry you’re feeling so rubbish. I had a low point at around that time where I ordered pizza and I could only eat one slice because my stomach was so squashed by the baby taking up all the space. It did get better again though, my bump got a bit bigger and dropped a bit lower down which made things more comfortable.

Hi I’m 32 weeks with my second and feeling uncomfortable too it’s awful. I think it’s worst with your first because it is moving your ribs to make room and all your abdominal muscles are being stretched I remember it well. It does feel better when the baby drops a bit, but then you have the pressure down below. Third trimester is physically hard, I find the giant exercise ball and gentle stretching really help. Along with floating in water in the bath/pool. Carrying on as normal is bollocks, it’s hard and you are doing really well.

Entering third trimester I've felt a massive increase in exhaustion and aches, and what you've shared including the pressure on pelvis and the urinating I can relate to too

With the night time urinating,my consultant advised me to ignore the urges and only go after a few hours. It seems to be working/helping.

I'm 40 weeks now and honestly I was in more pain and discomfort between 30-35 weeks. Had lots of back and rib pain which has mostly gone now. Tummy has obviously gotten a lot bigger but I feel so used to it now.

Hopefully things get better for you! Sounds like everything you're saying is normal but that doesn't make it any easier, so feel free to complain as much as you need to!

I feel you 💕 I hit 30 weeks today and for the past week the bottom of my bum cheeks are so sore! Like I've pulled a muscle or something. So it's hard to pull myself up or sit down for long. Sleeping is also non existent, my whole body feels restless when it used to just be my legs, whichever side I lay on she falls into so nudges me to move! The cheek of it 😂

I recommend -

Sitting on a gym hall

Ah thanks ladies it’s so nice to hear that other people are having the same experience!
it’s so easy for people to say oh your only pregnant just get on with it but it really does get to that point where it just starts taking a toll on your body!!! As I say I definitely didn’t think it would happen this early lol.

I do struggle to find the energy to exercise at the moment which probably doesn’t help.
I have been meaning to get myself a ball actually so thank you for mentioning ladies!

i really appreciate everyone’s comments thank you xxxx
