I'm 39 weeks and fed up! I was pregnant during COVID and now I'm feeling as women do at 39 weeks with a toddler! Total opposite pregnancy.

I was induced at 39 weeks with my 1st and had him 24 hours afterwards so totally don't know what to expect going into labour normally. First was very complicated and this one has had no complications at all.

In the past 24-48 hours I've had a dull ache in my lower back which is worse when standing or moving and last night I was having pains like constipation and I could feel baby moving as if they were pressing on my bowel. Been having a few cramps but under my bump and don't know if I'm having tightenings or if it's just how baby is moving. She's very low down and it hurts more if I'm stood up or moving around. Now I've finally finished work I do have chance to chill when the toddler lets me!

Also feel I've been loosing my plug. Twice now in about 10 days I've had jelly like substance after wiping and very different to my usual discharge but no blood. Just clear/off white.

Please someone tell me I'm near, I'm tired, can't sleep, can't get comfortable and have a general hate for everyone 😭🤣. Been feeling quite sick as well in the past few hours and general unwellness but I'm was putting that down to my tiredness.

Mine started like period pains and aches very low down and in my back. Got stronger and stronger.

I also had violent sickness and diarrhoea, but that was a few hours later, once the labour pains were more established… there was no doubt by that point what was going on.

I had loose stools and mucus plug/bloody show for several days. Also had my bump going tight on and off for several days before labour kicked in. Had no pain or anything until contractions started getting stronger

See I don't know if my bump is tightening or if baby is just stretching/moving!

My induction happened so quickly, my body literally emptied itself, plug and everything and I knew I was in labour but all happened so quickly!,

Mine were exactly what you have described in your first post. Lower back pain, feeling like I was constipated, jelly discharge. Wednesday, baby born Saturday am.

Oh I do hope it's soon. I saw the midwife yesterday who is happy with everything. I know we all get impatient and it's like the last 2 weeks have felt longer than 9 months.

I also feel proper mum guilt as I just can't be bothered doing anything. Luckily my partner is home now til the end of paternity leave which is helping but I can't help feeling like I'm being so lazy

Mine started with constant back pain and period like pain (I didn't realise this was the start at the time!). About 12 hours later I noticed the back pain was coming and going so used an app to track and noticed the tightening were in a regular pattern. They just kind of intensified over 24 hours and then my waters went (with a trickle!) and I lost my mucus plug. That's when it ramped up! Baby was born quite quickly afterwards. Good luck x

That's my next worry, how quickly they will come. We are 50 minutes (on a good day) from the hospital and it could take up to an hour to sort someone coming to get our toddler 😬😬
