Hi guys am 7 + 5 today, last weekend had severe nausea for about 3 days, then that got better which made me worried. Yesterday and today have had two days of random gagging for no reason just sitting at my desk will gag and sorry tmi - have a lot of saliva, I seem to be swallowing the whole time and that's making me gag more - is this normal - did anyone else experience this?

I had this in my first pregnancy! Totally normal. This pregnancy the gagging always leads to vomiting 🙈😭

My symptoms came and went a lot during weeks 7 and 8.

Thanks Leopardlover - going through the usual doubts and worries after mc - when the nausea at weekend just went away I was really getting a bit concerned then yesterday and in particular this morning I am just randomly gagging but I feel pretty much okay just some indigestion - can eat etc. Thanks for the handhold 🤓

All of my symptoms disappeared at 7+4 and I freaked out too! But alas, they came back 🤣

Would you consider an early scan? X

Oh gosh I had this for weeks!! Horrible haha! It eventually went away in the second trimester x

Leopardlover - I actually had two early scans - one at 6+5 and one at 7+3 (this last tuesday) we saw baby, heartbeat on first was 120, heartbeat on second was 160 but even though we saw it, we heard it I still got into my head over loss of symptoms and what that could mean plus my progesterone dropped now it was very high last week so it dropped back to a normal level this week but again - i'm in my head over it.

thanks mashm27 - I'm relieved in a way to hear it's a pregnancy symptom - I was wondering if i'm making myself sick with worry or something 😉

@Ted43 So pleased you got to see baby 😍 not long to go until that 12 week scan (I know every week feels like an eternity)! Have you got this booked in? X

Ted43 · 17/08/2023 12:38

@LeopardLover I do have it booked - think it's 12 +3 - now not sure if I'll last that long without getting another scan - i'm going to do my best. I got new progesterone this morning to make sure that it's not gone down any more. No joy yet in any of this years of ivf and mc's just puts the fear in not the joy!

Ah, even the extra days after 12 makes it even harder!! I can totally understand booking in another. Really hoping this pregnancy is healthy and continues to progress well ❤️ Glad you've got some more progesterone tablets too! X

Ted43 · 17/08/2023 12:50

@LeopardLover Thanks Leopardlover best wishes to you too - hope you have a lovely safe happy pregnancy x

@Ted43 Similar situation here. I’m 7+5. Last week I was so sick and this week it’s been more as you described. Plus I feel totally zapped off energy. I also have so much saliva. It’s gross! But I read it’s another charming symptom!

Ted43 · 17/08/2023 16:10

@Scarletthoping i'm actually just exhausted symptom watching at this stage - I felt rotten all weekend but when it was gone I was a nervous wreck so i'm now at the stage where I'd prefer to be really sick because i have no anxiety when i'm sick🙄

Yes I remember with my first I would do this. I remember being at an appointment and randomly started gagging, they grabbed me a bin but I was trying to say nothing is going to come up! Really weird and annoying when in public 😅

Mummy08m · 18/08/2023 05:37

I wouldn't worry about the nausea coming and going a bit before about 10w - I read that's normal. Gagging also normal amd I've had that so badly in both pregnancies. Not to be a doom-monger but I had it till 20w in my first and until 16w in my second so it might be a while longer.

Thinks that helped me were sweeties. Especially fruit gums. I've got so into them that dd calls them "mummy sweets". You can also get sweets with added vitamin b, I used the brand myrtle and maude.
