Stomach numb above belly button after csection?

Hello

I'm a bit concerned as I don't know if this is normal at all but I had a planned csection in April this year and I've noticed above my belly button there is a section that is numb. It's about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide.
I can feel myself touching it but not the whole sensation, a bit like when you have local anaesthetic at the dentist.
I've only noticed it recently as I hurt my stomach (not in same area) so I was really feeling my stomach and the last few days I keep getting sensitive sensations in the numb bit as if the feeling is trying to come back.

Could numbness above the belly button be caused by csection? Surely too high to be related?

Thank you x

It's normal, it might come back or it might not. There are a lot of nerves that get cut in that area x

Thank you, just find it odd it being numb so far away from where they cut x

It's because the nerves are stretched when you're pregnant and they can move with the muscles etc, and depending if it was an emergency section or not they can be a bit rough because obviously the baby needs to come out asap. So a nerve that is usually at the top of the abdomen can stretch and be cut at the bottom and then when you're healing and everything goes back to normal you get the nerve affected at the top does that make sense?

I'm 13months post c section and I'm still numb in places on my tummy it's a weird feeling isn't it it's like you can feel it yet you can't feel it I'm not worried that I might not get the feeling back I don't know if I should be lol x

I’ve got the same but my numbness is under my belly button can feel the side of it but more to the middle I can’t but to be honest it was worth it as I now got my id twin boys 6 weeks old Saturday 👶🏻

I think it's normal. My big toe on one side has been numb since mine... very strange. Assuming something to do with the spinal.

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense now.
I didn't have an emergency this time but did in 2017 and tbh I don't know if my stomach has been numb there since my emergency one lol.
How do you know so much about it, if you don't mind me asking? X
