Hi all,
Im 19 and have a feeling i may be pregnant but it’s too early to take a test.
Im having cramps and i’m massively bloated, aswell as other weird symptoms like change in discharge but i’m not very clued up on the EARLY signs of pregnancy so wondering if anyone has any advice or anything?

Early pregnancy symptoms can be pretty vague and/or mimic other issues.

When was the first day of your last period? I would likely work from there and do a test closer to the time or even after your missed period (if you do miss it) for a better read?

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 19:11

The first day of my period was 1st of August, so still a while till i can actually test. Thankyou for the advice!
I have recently been tested for PCOS or Endometriosis so it could honestly just be that and i’m overthinking, but thankyou again! x

You might not have even ovulated yet. If your period was 1st August

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 19:16

Ah right okay, thankyou for your advice, im not very clued up on pregnancy and don’t have anyone to tell me this stuff so i’m sorry if i’m sounding a bit dim x

If your period was 1st August it’s likely you are only just about to ovulate, which is likely what is causing your symptoms. It’s far too early to be pregnant

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 19:51

i’m not 100% sure if it did start 1st August but i know it was around that time, ta all for putting my mind a bit at ease haha

@loulou0409 does sound like it's too early as you're only in day 15 of your cycle. When did you last have unprotected sex
?

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 21:03

@wtawtaw I won’t lie, i’ve been being dead uncareful bc i’ve always thought i’m infertile- not a good idea obviously.
But last time i had unprotected sex was around the 4/5th but was also having it before so idk if it could’ve lingered bc i know sperm stays for a few days but idk if you can get pregnant on your period or just before etc, because i always hear different opinions.
Sorry i sound like such a kid, just proper overthinking it all haha

@loulou0409 I really wouldn't worry too much as your dates don't really match up so it's highly unlikely you're pregnant.
Do be careful though if you don't want to get pregnant, what makes you think you're infertile?

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 21:33

@wtawtawThankyou so much, you’ve really settled my mind!
Also i think i might be because ever since i started getting my periods somethings always been off with them which lead me to believe that i may have PCOS or endometriosis, and there’s been a couple times with my ex where i probably should’ve ended up pregnant.
Probably makes me sound crazy but honestly just have a feeling that’s a possibility for me alongside all the period stuff that i’m getting tested for.

Plenty of people with PCOS and Endo get pregnant, myself included, and sometimes quite easily so if you don’t want to be, please sort out some contraception!!

Ovulating can cause symptoms like bloating and definitely changes to discharge so it’s likely this. If you don’t want to be pregnant DEFINITELY don’t have sex at the moment!

wtawtaw · 15/08/2023 21:45

@loulou0409 as above has said, some people with those conditions get pregnant easily so please do sort contraception out before you end up regretting it x

loulou0409 · 15/08/2023 21:51

@Pinkstuffs @wtawtaw
thankyou both, i’ll definitely be more careful i am on birth control but i messed it up the last month bc of poor mental health so pretty much ended up coming off it around the start of july.
Thankyou both so much x
