Hi, I have been reading everyone posts over the years and I thought I would finally post one. Read so many amazing and sad stories and was hoping to find some comfort from this. I am pregnant for the 07th time in 5 years. All my other 6 pregnancies ended in miscarriage. Most of them were chromosomal, tests all came back sporadic so have been told to keep going. I have low egg reserve at 1.1 so this is more than likely the factor of why the egg doesn't develop and cant get past 08 weeks. I was literally going to start chlomid this month to give it a try to see if I succeed in a pregnancy to stimulate my eggs before we go down the IVF route but found out i was pregnant. I have been feeling great and went for a scan at 5.5 weeks, they saw the gestational sac and yolk sac and said to come back in two weeks. They have advised me to take aspirin and cyclogest. I have been on these medications previously plus , inhixa injections and progesterone injections and all still failed, as if chromosomal nothing will help this. So I started cyclogest on Monday 07th after scan and sunday evening i experience cramps. I have had some Monday (14th) and some today - all on and off but through out the day. Is it normal to experience cramping and aches as my head is just saying Miscarriage is on way. I am trying to stay relaxed but i wont be until my next scan, which is on 22nd. I have pains in lower back, hip and aches in my legs (which could be sciatica) as I do get that from not exercising and moving around alot. I haven't continued exercising as I dont want to risk anything so having the odd walk. I know everyone body's is different and although some women get pain and blood they still go on to have baby. I havent been one of those lucky ones yet. I havnt had any bleeding as such and I know the pessaries can mask this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had lots of dull cramps and constantly felt like I was about to start my period during the first trimester which worried me too - I’m now 32 weeks. Hope this helps.

TTCmuma7 · 16/08/2023 17:10

Thank you @Esl17 this has reassured me. Glad things are going well for you, wish you all the best.

Oh Gosh, I had terrible back pain at 6-8 weeks! I was terrified since I had a MMC last year. Also had dull cramping on and off. I'm almost 12 weeks! Fingers crossed for a sticky baby, OP!!! Best of luck!!

Rpsches917 · 16/08/2023 20:59

I am also on cyclogest and have suffered with a lot of early pregnancy cramps. Currently 7+4 and they have really eased up the past week or so I have wondered if it was a combination of 'normal' pregnancy cramps and worsening from the cyclogest

TTCmuma7 · 17/08/2023 13:58

@readingismycardio thanks for your response and I’m so glad you have got to 12 weeks. Wish you all the luck and thank you for the advice. I have never reached the 12 week mark so hoping this is our time. Thanks again

@Rpsches917 I’m glad the pains have eased up and hope all goes well for you. I do have some slight nausea but it’s really hard for me to acknowledge anything as I have had mixed signals so many times. Just going to keep an open mind as I don’t want to be disappointed on Tuesday. Thanks again and much appreciated.

@Esl17 @Rpsches917 @readingismycardio Hi all, just wanted to update you on my scan. It went very well and the outcome we have been waiting for for 5 years. We had a healthy scan, measuring 7 weeks 5 days and a strong heartbeat. In so much shock but very happy although still cautious. My consultant has said to start clexane but I am in two minds, as my other consultant said I don’t need it.

Not sure if you know much about the clexane injections?

hope your well doing well.

Hi, OP! Wonderful news! I'm doing great too, 13 weeks today, thanks for asking!

Many of my friends did clexane (wasn't my case, I only take baby aspirin) and they were fine! Some said it was a bit painful, some said it was okay! Don't worry! Clexane is super common!

TTCmuma7 · 26/08/2023 07:17

@readingismycardio I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. Well I have been on clexane once before but pregnancy failed and was before I got a heartbeat. I am just worried that if I don’t have any clotting disorders should I need it. I have had the TEGG test done previously and came back normal but having another one on Tuesday, as was 2 years ago. Apparently the test still doesn’t determine if you were to clot in placenta. One consultant said I don’t need it and other said to take. 🙉We have come to conclusion to wait till 12 weeks and reevaluate it. May I ask the reasons your friends were out on the injections? Does your symptoms come and go at 8 weeks as in breast pain and nauseous. I keep waking up at silly o clock in morning and just paranoid that something is wrong. It’s going to be a long road but i know I need to stick to baby steps.

Charming81 · 26/08/2023 07:30

First of all, congratulations 🎉
Clexane it is not only used for clot. Being a blood thinner in improves blood circulation so the blood flows better in you uterus. It is very common in ivf pregnancy. It won't do any arm to the baby.

The only thing is that, I take the aspirin because I had a heart surgery and the cardiologist advised me to stop the aspirin whilst using the heparin. It is worth asking some advice about this.

Good luck! 🤞🏻🐞🍀

Esl17 · 26/08/2023 09:07

@TTCmuma7 can’t help with the clexane but it is very normal for symptoms to come and go - I believe from weeks 8-9 the placenta starts to take over and gives other hormones a break, personally from week 9 I started to feel so much better and nausea virtually disappeared, even before this I had good days and bad days with nausea, very common.

Rpsches917 · 26/08/2023 09:20

@TTCmuma7 that is brilliant news! Sorry I can't help either on the Clexane but my symptoms definitely come and go depending on the time of day. Tend to be worse in the evenings. It is causing me a lot of anxiety but just have to keep reminding myself that it is normal and I don't have any signs of MC. 9 weeks today and having another scan Tuesday to check all is still OK, so just trying to get to every little milestone as they come.

TTCmuma7 · 27/08/2023 11:00

@Rpsches917 no worries. Wonderful news on 9 weeks and wish you all the luck for your next scan. It does make your anxiety go through the roof, I am thinking of having a scan at 10 weeks and then at 12. Are they scanning you regularly then or are you you if private? I keep feeling cold and then hot is that another normal pregnancy symptom. I would defo say keep feeling more cold though and just so tired and feeling sicky.

TTCmuma7 · 27/08/2023 11:02

@Esl17 thanks for sharing and glad to know it gets better as time goes on and it does fluctuate around these weeks. I’ve got to just turn my emotions off and just think there is nothing wrong and all going well.

OP posts:
TTCmuma7 · 27/08/2023 11:05

thank you so much @Charming81 I know they do give for IVF and have read it wouldn’t affect the baby but some reviews stated some women suffered losses and there isn’t enough evidence if it was the clexane or not having the clexane. I think I will wait for my 12 weeks and see what the consultant says. They did say to me that aspirin and clexane are fine to take together?? So many conflicting stories 😩

OP posts:
TTCmuma7 · 28/08/2023 07:40

Morning no ladies, I did forget to ask yesterday and I don’t want to sound like a hypochondriac lol but since my scan, I have felt when I go to pee that it doesn’t come out as full and natural as when your dying for a wee and your bladder fully empties. It feels that I have to push otherwise it just trickles out. I don’t know if this is anxiety or to do with weak pelvic muscles, or if it’s to do with the pregnancy progressing. It just feels hard we to fully empty my bladder,
so having more trips to the toilet. Because I believe I had this every time I was pregnant and they all ended in miscarriage, I can’t not think is there something up. Did any of you experience this.

OP posts:
Rpsches917 · 28/08/2023 08:18

@TTCmuma7 yeah so when I originally got referred to Tommys they gave me a card and said to ring when I was pregnant for an early scan so they scanned me at 6 1/2 weeks and then booked again 3 weeks later, then I'll have my 12 week scan with my local hospital. I think it's just the 2 early scans but never got further than this before! Saved me a fortune though as I would've ended up booking privately I think as I just couldn't have coped with waiting until 12 weeks - amazing for those that can do it I am just too anxious.

TTCmuma7 · 29/08/2023 06:47

@Rpsches917 its good they offered you the early scans to put your mind at test and likewise getting as far as we have so far, It’s truly amazing news. May I ask your story, assuming you had multiple miscarriages, I was going to go to tommys but they were going to do a experiment where they put you on a placebo and it consisted of having to have a hysteroscopy, which I didn’t want to go through again, so I left it. I have asked to have a scan next week, which should hopefully make me 10 weeks as I can’t wait till 12 weeks. I had my first midwife appointment yesterday so really
hoping, we are on the road to success.

OP posts:
Rpsches917 · 29/08/2023 07:29

@TTCmuma7 I had 2 MC's last year and EPU told me to ask for a referral there with my GP and they did it straight away. I had bloods and things and they checked for any obvious reasons for recurrent losses and couldn't find anything other than my Vit D being low but said they didn't have any ongoing studies at the moment to join. They gave me the progesterone and their card and just said to call when I was pregnant and to start to the progesterone as soon as I knew I was pregnant too and they'd keep giving me prescriptions if my GP wouldn't.

TTCmuma7 · 29/08/2023 09:33

So sorry to hear this @Rpsches917 and assume as under 3 they didn’t do recurrent miscarriage tests? I’m glad it’s all going well now and that’s the main thing. With the vitamin D and progesterone has obviously helped you. Wish you all the success in this pregnancy and third time lucky. I’m still reluctant on the clexane but my midwife said to me yesterday she thinks I should have it and it doesn’t affect the baby. I’m off to at Mary’s today to have the blood clotting test anyway today.

TTCmuma7 · 28/09/2023 13:23

Hi ladies, hope all going well with you. So I thought I would update you that I got to my 12 week scan and all looked really good. I have had my results back to day for the syndromes and were 1 out of 5000, so looks promising although I may still have a harmony. I had a bit of a scare this morning and what I thought that looked like very light pink tinges of blood, small specs. This happened earlier today and since going to the loo there has been nothing. I don’t know if my anxiety is making run to the toilet every 5 mins but I keep doing this and have a little bit of back ache, can’t work out if this is just the normal aches and pains or something more sinister. Did any of you experience any of this. X @Rpsches917 @Esl17 @Charming81 @readingismycardio
