Hello everyone,

Yesterday sitting at the dinner table I had such a short sharp episode of stabbing electric pain in an area just above and slightly to the side of the belly button. (I have an anterior placenta) It went away and I haven’t felt it since.
Of course I’m now worried about placental abruption or uterine rupture… but it lists pain as ongoing as symptom. Unless it’s a silent abruption/rupture…

What would you guys do? Just let it go and don’t obsess about it or do I need to take it seriously? 🤔

I feel like everything in pregnancy is either normal or the same symptoms can be lethal for baby😵‍💫

I never had this OP but just go in and get checked for peace of mind. 💜 They really won't mind and now this theory is in your head it'll be hard to get it out! X

My uterus ruptured during my VBAC attempt in May this year. My labour was spontaneous and going perfectly up until this point, the pain was like nothing I’d ever felt. I could cope with the contractions using gas and air but after each contraction finished I would be screaming from the pain, I knew something was seriously wrong, the pain from a rupture is extreme!! If you’re worried always trust your gut and call the hospital ! X

As the saying goes, if in doubt check it out.

Don't take the slightest risk with your precious little one.

At 40 weeks you can get absolutely anything checked out!

But a sharp pain is always worth investigating.
