I've had a minor electric shock changing a lightbulb today. I called the maternity unit but they've said not to worry and it doesn't need checking but looking online, it seems to suggest to get seen? Any advice welcome!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had an electric shock at 13w with my first. Totally panicked, called 111 who sent me to A&E, who did give me a scan for reassurance because I was convinced it was all over - baby was absolutely fine, now almost 4!

I had an electric shock during the third trimester with one of our children and I was checked over by the midwives, had a trace done and then sent down to A&E to have an ECG. All was well with baby and me 😊

Just an update, I went for a scan yesterday and everything is absolutely fine! Little one was hiccuping and wriggling around, oblivious to my worries by the looks of it!! 🥰 Thanks for the replies though, so nice to get some reassurance xx
