This is probably going to be a long vent so apologies in advance.
TW: blood/loss
A few weeks ago (I can't remember the exact date but I'm presuming around the 20th July ish) I had what I'm presuming was a normal period. It lasted 7 days (3 days longer than normal) it was quite heavy and red however there weren't any noticeable clots.
Obviously it's been a while however I'm having some symptoms that lead me to believe I might be pregnant even though it feels like that's impossible given how long and how heavy the bleed was.
At first I ignored it, I've been feeling sick, having headaches and having tummy cramps however i put it down to having to take a course of antibiotics because they can cause you to feel sick.
I finished my course last Wednesday but I'm still feeling sick and fatigued (no longer having any cramps) and have lost my appetite and can't even think about eating anything atm.
Whilst taking the antibiotics I noticed pale/white sticky discharge that resembles egg whites, I even joked to my partner saying if it wasn't for my period I'd be testing for pregnancy haha. I presumed the discharge was due to thrush as the antibiotics can cause that, however I'm still having the same discharge, and I've had no other symptoms of thrush and everything looks normal and healthy down there?
I've spent the last couple of days feeling quite sick. It started Thursday with a cold/headache, I had a cough and sore throat yesterday. And this morning at 3am I had bad heartburn and ended up throwing up.
We suffered a loss in march, however I had the same egg white discharge when I discovered I was pregnant then, I also had it throughout my entire pregnancy with my son.
We've not been actively trying for another baby so I've not been tracking my cycle , we decided to wait for the new year, however we haven't been using protection (good ol' pull out method) so i understand that theres a chance we could of conceived.
The dr is going to ring me Tuesday anyway to find out whether the antibiotics worked so I am going to talk to them about it and see whether she recommends taking a test.
I know I'm probably being delusional lol, I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through something similar? I think I just need a vent as well, I don't really want to talk to my partner about it and risk getting his hopes up.
