Did you go into labour after second sweep?

Hi ladies,

Did any of you have more experience on 2nd sweep than the first. I am due to be induced next week I really want to Avoid it if I can. I had my first sweep 2 days ago and am about to have another one now in a few hours. Any success stories?

My symptoms after the first were some back pain, bloody show. LOADS of mucous plug iver the two days (I didn't know I'd have so much!!)

I'm 38 weeks and 3 today and at my first sweep doc said I was very favourable and at 2cm and cervix was very soft and 1-2cm long.

Oh also to add I've had a few false start contractions and on
And off period pain!

Had first sweep at 38+1 and was 3cm. 2nd sweep at 39+1 and was 6cm and gave birth later that day :)

It's quite soon after that they are repeating your sweep, you might have more luck if they hold off until tomorrow or Sunday, you could ask if you could pop into antenatal or labour ward over the weekend?

i had 2 sweeps, was due a 3rd but went into labour naturally the day before it. I lost mucus plug about 48 hours before I went into labour xx

So I had the sweep she said I was still at a two but very favourable , she said baby was really low and could feel his head and my waters were bulging 😳 . She said if her nails were longer would have nearly nicked them and broke them so easily!! She said I was about 75% effaced. Not 💯 percent sure what that really means but I'm at home bouncing on my ball with LOADS of pressure literally feels like baby is in my vagina or waters could break any second. If there is such a feeling!? I also have extra fluid which is the reason for induction next week. So fingers crossed!

How Long after your second sweep did you go into labour do you remember!?

I also have a very very tender feeling in my lower abdomen but it's not coming in waves but extremely tender 🤞
