Hi
I'm 5w4d based on ovulation.
Ive had multiple miscarriages including an ectopic earlier this year so im under the reccurent miscarriage clinic.
I had one random beta done before we went on holiday at 14dpo which was 124.
The most recent ones I'm concerned about.
Mon 7th 23 dpo - 1686
Wednesday 9th 25dpo - 2734
Doubling time of 68 hours.

I know there are 100s of posts regarding this and I know no one can truly settle my mind, but has anyone had simular results and everything been OK?

Thank you

I had similar and clinic assured me that it doesn't need to double - they want to see at least a 65% rise over 48 hours but it can range from 35% to 65% and still be good. The babymed hcg calculator puts you as normal. I just had an early scan at 7 weeks and we have a strong heart beat and everything looking great

Hi @Amyb87, I am in a similar position so may not be hugely reassuring but I feel quite positive after doing a bit of reading online.
I had 2 early betas which doubled in 48hrs and then just under a week layer another one, which was similar to your 23dpo (and at a similar time I think about 20dpo). When I compared the second to third it had slowed to 57hour doubling time or something like that. But apparently once the numbers get higher they do slow a bit, and the doubling rate can vary so much between people. I did find the babymed website helpful if you haven't seen it as it does explain the slow down at different stages and plots your results on a graph. I found some good examples from people who had similar doubling rates and it was all fine..but obviously there are also the bad outcomes too.
I completely understand the horrible uncertainty of it all and I'm so sorry about your previous losses. I hope it all works out for you this time. Will you be having an early scan? I have a 7 week scan on the 22nd (ivf pregnancy so this is routine) and hoping that gives more reassurance than the numbers!!

Thank you both for replying

@Ted43 thank you that's really reassuring to hear. I hope all goes well with you in this pregnancy!

@Walker12 I think it helps knowing your not alone in feeling panicked around numbers, so thank you for reaching out. I've taken screenshot of all the positive stories ive found online and keep reading those back when I have doubts haha.
My gp sent me for a scan yesterday due to my previous ectopic and hcg levels not quite doubling again this time. We saw a sac and a yolk which was reassuring its in the right place, measuring a few days behind which I know is normal so early on. I go back next week. I've not had more bloods I'll just wait for the scan it would probably cause more stress than good.
Thank you! I also hope you have a smooth and healthy pregnancy! Wish you all the luck for your scan.

@Amyb87 I did the exact same with the screenshots 😂
That's great about your scan, sounds just right for this point and hopefully the next one will be equally as positive. I'm also going to avoid any more betas as if I hadn't done the extra one I would probably be feeling OK, I think once the numbers get into the thousands scans are so much more informative/reliable anyway. It's so hard not to get obsessed when it's something you want so much, hope you are coping OK and have things to distract you between scans etc. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Hey hope you're well. Just wondered how you got on?

Hcg doubles every 48-72 hours. It's not always exactly 48 hrs
