Harmony NIPT results - sex

How did you feel when you found out the sex of your baby from your NIPT. It’s incredible how early you can now found out … just taking it all in!

Hi - what is the purpose of an NIPT, and why did you do it?
It's great they gave you the sex too - you seem very happy!

I did it for early screening of chromosomal abnormalities. If you google “Harmony test NIPT” you can find out more about what it tests for. Finding out the sex was just an added bonus.

I was delighted to find out their sexes - saved all the squinting at scan pictures. Seeing the 'low risk - low risk - low risk' after being told high risk by the NHS was such a relief too.

ah ok - we did consider it, because the risk for Downs is higher for this pregnancy than it was 1.5 years ago for my last pregrnancy. However, it is still low risk so we aren't sure.

Can I take a guess... are you having a boy? Don't say if you don't want to lol.

Well the main thing is you have had your doubts about risks cleared up and that is the main thing.
