I'm 14w, got an Obstetrician appointment next week which my Midwife mentioned in at booking-in (9w). I've never got this far before - what should I expect?

Had 12w scan, all showing fine, I'm 42, no known underlying health conditions.

Hi @Whataretheodds i'm 42 yrs old and pregnant too!

I'm due to have my second midwide appt. From what i can remember with my first DD, they take a urine sample, blood pressure and more blood tests. Also, i think you get to hear baby heartbeat. Sorry this is all from memory! Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

In mine they would check my weight, blood pressure, check urine (I collected the urine at home to containers they gave at the clinic so I would just give it to them) and then have a chat with a doctor. Sometimes I walked out feeling like nothing useful was discussed but at least they made sure baby and I were ok. Congratulations and enjoy! Smile

Thanks both - sounds a lot like the booking-in!

In case anyone was wondering -
Blood pressure, nurse collected urine sample, Obstetrician talked about induction (I'm 42). I asked some questions about travel in 2nd trimester.
