Still cramping after MC

Hi All,

So I started cramping last Thursday, believe I had passed most of the tissue on Monday afternoon, I’m still cramping, so it’s now been going on a week, is this normal? I have EPU apt next Weds but tbh I’m just exhausted and fed up of being in pain.

I'm so sorry you're going through this OP. With both of my miscarriages I remember the cramping going on for a few days after. It would especially be triggered whenever I ate or did too much physically. It stopped completely about a week afterwards.

I found taking paracetamol and ibuprofen (check with Dr or pharmacist before doing this as it's not always suitable for everyone) made it more manageable, plus plenty of rest and a hot water bottle x

@Lottie917 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

I read your reply to my BF last night because I said “yes this is what I said earlier” regarding the increase after eating, it’s like every meal I have triggers the cramps. Today seems better thus far so I’m really hopeful, because we are due to have our step daughter tonight and I want to be on top form or as close as can be for her coming x

I now know what I was still cramping. Despite passing a lot of tissue on Monday, I have now just passed the embryo etc, I know because there was no way of not knowing, I honestly thought I’d passed it Monday but hell no, I will never forget what I’ve just seen :-(

@SPink91 😔 I'm so sorry. I know exactly what you mean and it is a shocking thing to experience. Please take the time to look after yourself emotionally and physically, and allow yourself time to process what's happened.
Resources I found really useful were: The Miscarriage Association, an Instagram page called The Worst Girl Gang Ever and they also wrote a book of the same name which I'd recommend too. Sending you lots of love ❤️ x

I am so sorry for you having to go through this. I will never forget what I saw when I started loosing stuff on the floor of the shower. I think once everything has come out you will feel much better. Hugs x

@Lottie917 Thank you so much, I have just looked and saved that in my Amazon wish list. I will buy it once my Step Daughter has gone home, shes 14 and so she will know as soon as she sees it, she knows I’ve been unwell but thinks it’s related to my back injury, she doesn’t need to feel the sadness we are. I’m just trying to pull myself together now ready for her arriving soon, I sat on the toilet for a good hour I just couldn’t bring myself to flush it, it felt so cruel, I mean that’s how we get rid of dead goldfish, right?
proper little ramble. Thank you for your kind message honey ♥️.

@Olika Thank you for your kind message. Honestly it’s traumatising, I naively had no idea it would be so obvious, just like the little pictures I would look at on bounty of what the baby looked like 😔.

i am so sorry you ladies have gone through the same but I thank you for taking the time to be so kind x
