Going out of my mind. More bleeding 11+4 😓

I have posted a few times about my bleeding and spotting throughout my first trimester but it seemed to have gone away. The last bleedings have been very very light . once or twice a week with a few spots on a tissue.

I have had two scans and all was well and I felt a lot more confident and allowing myself to get excited (2 previous mcs therefore generally a nervous wreck!)

This morning I have bleeding and it's a lot heavier then it's been before. Not in my pants but quite alot on the tissue and has continue for a few hours. I called EPU and there's no Dr in today but said they can arrange a call tomorrow (Wednesday)
Advised I can go to emergency if really worried.

I'm abit stuck as I don't want to seem dramatic at a&e and waste resources but waiting till tomorrow is going to be so tough. Unlikely a scan would actually be tomorrow either.
I could book a private tomorrow afternoon.
They only have lunch time today and I really don't want to go alone 😔partner finished 2pm so he can come at tomorrows available times.
I have a scheduled scan in one week but really can't wait that long after this.

Has anyone experienced this?
What would you do?

My minds going around and around abit.
*Fyi not in the UK so a few hours ahead of time.

If you're that worried, go to a&e and don't feel dramatic. For me it wasn't pregnancy but after my missed miscarriage I was so scared of having remaining tissue or any permanent damage that honestly I went up to epu 4 times and a&e once. It always turned out to be fine but the doctors didn't care, they were so sweet and understanding. I actually found a&e staff so much sweeter about it all than epu lol.

I know obviously you are pregnant so it's slightly different but trust your gut if you're worried, they'll understand you don't want to take risks with baby and yourself. You'd rather feel abit embarrassed that you may have wasted someone's time but atleast you won't regret seeking help if something goes wrong x

I honestly wrote this exact post yesterday, I'm 12 weeks and honestly fed up of the bleeding. I've had four separate bleeds (requiring a pad or at least a liner rather than just when I wipe). My 3 previous bleeds I was scanned and nothing was wrong with baby (and no cause of bleeding found). This time they've said host to stick it out until my scan next week.

Try not to worry, I know it massively sucks, I just went to bed at 8pm yesterday to get away from it, but it sounds like your bleeding is very light so it could just be an irratated cervix - are you using progesterone by any chance?

On the thread I posted yesterday I had two responses from people who had regular bleeds in their first trimester and both resolved themselves at around 13-16 weeks, and both had healthy DCs from those pregnancies.

RudolfsLeftToe · 01/08/2023 08:22

With my DS I started bleeding at around 7 weeks and had a huge gush whilst in hospital. I lost so much blood I had to be admitted until they could scan me the following day and no one held out much hope but it turned out to be a SCH. The bleeding carried on until week 16 and definitely ramped up if I did too much which was scary when I had a two year old to run around after but the baby was unaffected and is a crazy 8 year old now who still loves a bit of dramatics 😁

@Ttcmumma thank you! I think I am paranoid about seeming like a worrier. It seems to ease off the bleeding but stomach feels very strange and I was hit with massive exhaustion I had to take a nap. I am going to chase EPU in the morning then book private scan if they can't get me in for peace of mind.

@LavenderSweetPea oh really! Wish I seen your post now. They couldn't really find a reason for my bleeding either.
No progesterone - I'd actually asked for it T the start but Dr wouldn't prescribe 😔

@RudolfsLeftToe glad was all ok for you!
it doesn't feel like huge gushes which makes me think it's not SCH. It's like randomly few days a week but this was just heavier then it had been and got me paniced 😥

Let us know if you do decide to have a private scan today OP, I'm sure everything will be fine ☺️ it's just such a mental strain for us bleeders, but it's not as uncommon as you might think xx

Mangotango39 · 01/08/2023 14:15

@LavenderSweetPea all the times went for today and tomorrow at my local place so I am going to wait till my call from EPU tomorrow then go from there. more spotting at the moment but very very light 😥

will update to hopefully help others in the future and clinging to hope it's ok x

Hang in there. How long until your 12 weeks scan if the epu won't see you sooner? Mine is on Monday so a whole 6 days to wait, at least it's first thing in the morning though.

Mangotango39 · 02/08/2023 05:19

@LavenderSweetPea Spoke to Epu and the doctor wasn't worried from everything she seen previously and my other bleeding.
It did stop so she said likely to all be ok as not continued.

My scan is next Tuesday (1.30pm)so I'll be 12+4 . Feels like an age!!!
Let me know how you get on Monday!
Morning is definitely better because I just sit worrying alllll day but it's easier for my partner will work in the afternoon 😥

OP, I am so sorry about this, i'm 9+3 myself after a MMC in November and my anxiety is through the roof, I even went for an extra scan this Monday because my nausea went away and I got shit scared.

Do you have a subchorionic hematoma? This could cause bleeding without it actually being a real danger to the pregnancy. Bleeding is shit scary but many women experience it and their pregnancy turns out just fine!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. You are so, so close to the second trimester!

Mangotango39 · 02/08/2023 07:30

@readingismycardio so sorry about your MMC. Do you know how far you were ?

I have been checked twice and no sign of subchorionic hematoma. They couldn't see a reason at all and cervix was fine. A mystery!

I feel really close and trying to remain positive today . Better then yesterday anyway 😆

When I had my MMC I was about 8 weeks.

I know it's super hard not to worry, especially since you had a previous experience with pregnancy loss - it's tough, isn't it? :(

Fingers crossed for the both of us!

LavenderSweetPea · 07/08/2023 11:16

Hi @Mangotango39 I just wanted to let you know I had my 12 week scan this morning and all was fine and normal. No explanation for the bleeding was found for me, but I'm just pleased everything seemed normal with baby :) I hope your scan tomorrow goes well as well, let us know xxx

Mangotango39 · 07/08/2023 11:37

@LavenderSweetPea thanks so much for updating! What lovely news!
SO pleased for you.

I bet it was lovely to see them so big now!

No bigger bleeds since my last update. The odd spot here and there . Very nervous but trying to remain positive and hopefully sleep ok tonight x

@LavenderSweetPea

My scan went perfectly!
I can't actually believe it!!!!

Baby was wiggling away and kept putting their hands infront of their face . It's crazy how quickly they grow at this stage.

Pretty overwhelmed right now😭

@LavenderSweetPea have you had anymore bleeding? I was spotting a tiny amount this morning (few wipes - light) and yesterday!
scares me still (14 +2!)

OP posts:
LavenderSweetPea · 20/08/2023 13:22

I did on Monday, just a tiny bit - that would have been 14+2

Mangotango39 · 20/08/2023 13:52

@LavenderSweetPea god it's worrying - wishing it would stop!

I saw on the February 2024 group that someone posted that they started bleeding after coming off progesterone and apparently that's normal. I'm so worried because I'm still on the progesterone for another week and I can't deal with it getting worse or more frequent. On the plus side midwife appointment is in 11 days so that'll be nice to hear babies heartbeat 💓
