Hi

I’ve previously had 2 early losses 6 weeks and 5 weeks, I’m currently 11 weeks 3 days pregnant. I’ve had some brown discharge on and off but stopped at about 8 weeks. Since been checked and baby was fine.

ive just been to the toilet and on wiping this is on the tissue. (See pic)looks like fresh blood 😩 my early pregnancy unit isn’t open at weekends so I need to ring tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had this and been fine? ☹️

thank you

Phone the labour ward just to be safe

I had this and also had a huge bleed with my son who is now 18 months old, try not to panic. With EPU is shut do you have the money to arrange a private scan today? Unfortunately this early on labour ward etc won't help you.

Sending hugs xx

I’ve had similar spotting in my first trimester and all was good - I went to a private OB, for a private scan, seen a doctor in Europe and told my nurse at the 12 week scan too who all said that if the spotting is minor it’s most likely old blood - especially around 6,8 and 12 weeks ( ovulation and then periods ), so you’re most likely just fine! Just keep an eye on it, I hope it stays as it is xxxx

You can go to urgent care or A&E or a walk in centre anytime. I did this on Weds and they took bloods and referred me to the local EPU who scanned me the next day. Hope you’re OK xx

Sorry OP, I know it's it's awful worry.

I had this at 10 weeks and 16 weeks and was told it was due to a low lying placenta and no haematoma was found (which can be another cause).

My midwife asked if I'd had sex the day before as this can irritate the cervix.

Definitely book in a scan at epu for peace of mind x
