Concerning urine results

Hi.

Had my urine tested and it showed glucose of 50mg/dl. I think it's quite weird , as I haven't had any sugar in 3 weeks (other than fruit). And prior to excluding sugar tests turned out fine. Also had ketone present 5mg/dl.

Also mucus appeared present.

I'm currently on vaginal progesteron and forgot to isolate the area when took the urine sample. Could this have influence the sample.

I'm 19w+2d.

Any experiences or opinions would be really appreciated. I am really concerned for baby's well-being

Thanks

I had glucose in my urine quite a few times, that coupled with a larger baby when scanning meant that I had quite a few gestational diabetes tests.

Try not to worry about it, ask your midwife what the plan is and what will happen next. She might arrange a gestational diabetes test and a scan just to check you over.

Thanks.

I'll go tomorrow morning for some private tests to check my blood sugar and retest urine.

Are you having a lot of fruit? Mine flagged up but I was having fruit smoothies every day, when I cut them out it was normal again

I had watermelon, lemonades and orange/grapefruit fresh juice, but not a lot. But k?now that you mention, I did drink a whole bottle of orange juice from concentrate and very little water the day before I took the test. I needed some energy, as I am going through a quite stressful time. This was an isolated event, but maybe they are connected. I hope so. Thanks!

Just an update. The tests looked fine now. I also had blood tests and sugar was closer to minimum recommended than to maximum. So hoping for the best.
