Transabdominal cerclage after cancer

Hello!
I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and have a Transabdominal cerclage in place after having cervical cancer back in 2020.

Has anyone else had a pregnancy with a TAC? I’m curious to know what it felt like for you… this is my first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to but sometimes my insides feel so heavy and sore… is this the TAC or just normal pregnancy? Dr doesn’t seemed that concerned re: the discomfort as long as baby is continuing to be held in place.

Thanks :)

I don't have experience with TAC, however I'd say that what you're experiencing sounds normal for any pregnancy, as your body will be constantly stretching and growing. I felt similar sensations with both of my pregnancies (but especially the first).

Have you mentioned the discomfort to your midwife? I often find that midwives are better placed to advise than GPs (assuming you meant GP/Dr and not consultant/Dr) as they have more hands on experience.
