i am currently just over 6 weeks pregnant and been suffering with awful nausea and fatigue for about a week now. I called the doctor today as I have a two year old and am unable to function throughout the day as I feel so terrible! The doctor has prescribed me with Promethazine Hydrochloride and advices that I take one 25MG tablet at night.

has anyone else been prescribed this medication for nausea? I’m terrified that the tablets will cause me to be really drowsy when I have to look after my little boy!

really appreciate any feedback ❤️

I take this to help me sleep and yes it does make you drowsy but not terribly so. On a bad night I take two and do get a very deep king sleep and often feel a bit woolly afterwards.

I found these really helped with my severe pregnancy sickness. I was advised to take them in the evenings. I can’t remember if they made me drowsy as I only had 2 weeks worth before I couldn’t get hold of any more due to manufacturing issue. But I was able to function and start eating and drinking again whilst on them so it was worth it for me

I do find they help even if I take them at bed time so I get a sleep without vomiting and then feel better in the morning for a bit. Yes they make me feel drowsy if I take them in the day but it’s doable, i can stay awake it’s just I feel groggy
