SPD help

I'm definitely convinced this is spd but does it happen this quickly.

I went out to do some errands yesterday and got back had my usual pains. Managed to get to sleep okay but woke up to pain in the front of my pelvis now. Its worse to get out of bed and a pain to turn over. My left said is worse than right but has started in the right side as well.

I've had to call in sick to work and feel so guilty but the thought of walking to and from work and standing for hours feels me with dread and know I need to think of my health now and look after myself.

My pelvic pain was on left side. My left hamstring, quads and glutes were way tighter than right side. I had to keep it loose. Tight muscles meant pain.

Hey sorry your going through this 😔
This is my 5th pregnancy

1st I got it at 34 weeks was hospitalized at 38 weeks and induced at 39 weeks because of it

2nd I developed it at 31 weeks and tried to manage it without being hospitalized because I had a 16 month old but I was induced again at 38 weeks because of the pain

3rd it didnt come until 36 weeks but it literally went from 0 to 100 overnight I woke up one morning and physically couldnt move my bottom half I called mw and she had just finished a delivery not far from me she called out to see me and called a ambulance I was put in the assessment unit and consultant booked induction for 37 weeks I was in hospital for 4nights 5 days until I was bang on 37 weeks

4th started about 27 weeks and wasnt too bad for a good few weeks around 35 weeks he dropped low into my pelvis and i was literally bed bound again I was induced at 38/39 weeks. Unfortunately this was a failed induction I didnt progress to even 1 cm in 28 hrs of back to back contractions ended in emergency section.

I would like a vbac this time but if I have spd again will more than likely want to induce me but I'll opt for elective section after 38 weeks.

Nothing worked for me pain killers took the edge off now and again and using pillows I started sleeping on a blow up bed in living room so didnt need to climb stairs xx

I'm so sorry you went through all that 😔 mine sounds nout compared to what you went through but pain is pain wether its moderate or severe and should be taking seriously. And shouldn't be diminished but my head isn't doing very well either. And my partner keeps telling me off as he's seen the pain I'm in. A blow up bed sounds like heaven. Xx

@Bellabeemarie and everyone will have different experiences with it. It affects everyone differently. Just got to remember that cause I feel bad by taking time off work. We are short staffed but I know I shouldnt feel bad as I need to put my health first. Cause it was getting worse by being on my feet and walking. Even sitting affects me now and I know there's a chance that it will get worse once I get much bigger as I'm only 18 weeks xx

Most definitely hun! And your time off is valid! As you said it dont matter how severe the pain is, it's still pain and your still struggling ❤ I know it's a big change your not use to it and it really does dim the whole pregnancy experience but please be kind to yourself 🥰

Rest when you need to, take painkillers if they help and most of all if you feel you need the time off take it! Them being short staffed isnt your problem... this is your problem and you handle it the best you can.

Feel free to dm me anytime I know how isolated this can make you feel and your parenter wont fully understand your pain ❤

I know I just need to keeping saying as a mantra in my head! It just better when its sansome else saying it if you know what I mean. From someone who's also been through it ❤ I will 🥰 I do love being pregnant and feeling baba just not the pain haha. I will. I'm thinking of being off till I've had physio until after the first session at least. If I go back sooner its just going to make it worse and being horizontal is the best position for me now. Anything else causes me pain. Nope it's not and will remember that because they wouldn't think of me if it was the other way round although 2 of them have been lovely and making sure I didn't live anything heavy and checking if I was okay ❤ thank you so much. My partner is being very understanding and looking after me. He was basically telling me off because I was diminishing it when I shouldnt have been ❤xx

Where it says quote or reply there should be a option to "PM" private message xxx
