Is this a positive, evap, or my imagination?

Hi everyone. Tested first thing this morning with an early Boots test, one day before AF due. Line came up within 3 mins but it’s extremely faint. Would have expected it to be darker I guess?

What do you think - positive? Evap? Maybe CP? I suppose it’s impossible to tell at this point but I just wonder if anyone’s had a similarly faint line this close to AF and if anyone can even see the line too? (DH said he could see it after a second look!)

I think it's a faint positive line. I always waited to test until AF was late though so not sure what it should look like at this point. 🤞🏻

It looks like it has pink colouring so I would say a faint positive. Test again in a couple of days and hopefully it will be a lot darker. Fingers crossed for you OP!

My boots test looked like this on the day AF was due then got progressively stronger so fingers crossed for you! Did you test again this morning?

Thanks all! ☺️ You’ve got me feeling more optimistic. We’d be over the moon if it is positive. Did another this morning but it looks about the same if not fainter so might not be our month. I think today’s sample was less concentrated as I drunk quite a bit of water before bed last night but not sure how much of a difference that’d make at this stage - probably clutching at straws!

AF due today but no symptoms and I usually get very obvious cramping etc. Might test again tomorrow or maybe wait an extra day to see if it gets stronger🤞or disappears completely.

I can still see the faint line just about op 🤞🤞🤞

If it were me I'd hold it in as long as humanly possible and test again using a first response, I agree that's a faint positive

I had a line like that which was negative-so it could be either I’m afraid. It’s a wait and see.

Ok had told myself I’d wait a few days but curiosity got the better of me 🫣 and tried a First Response rapid response test just now. The line looks more grey in the photo for some reason but is def pink in RL. Still very faint but not sure of the sensitivity compared to the proper FRER test. Has given me more confidence that it’s not just an evap line though.

Now I WILL wait a couple of days and if AF doesn’t show will test again Wed or Thurs.

Ooh definitely positive OP, congrats! If you use the First response early results you'll likely get an even darker line.

Thank you! Not sure why but can’t seem to find FRER tests anywhere at the moment, except one test for almost £10 on Amazon. The last time I ordered FRER they were just over £7 for a pack of 2 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve taken two more since and sadly looks like it’s chemical 😢(one photo is overall line progression and the other is the two latest tests) I’m also worrying it could be ectopic as still no sign of AF/bleeding and had a c section with my first so could be at higher risk 🤔. I’ve had some very light brown watery discharge and some strange pinching sensations, backache and cramps. Hopefully I’m just reading into things. Will probably test again today or tomorrow to check the line completely goes but definitely feeling sad about it. Just want the bleeding to start now so we can can on with next month!

If the faint test was done later in day that could explain the line though. Fingers crossed
