Positive or evaporation line

Opinions please…

Five tests taken. This is the first one and the other four have been negative. The “positive” line came up about 15/20 mins after the test was taken. Pretty sure it’s an evaporation line but just wanted others opinions.

It looks very much like my positive test but if it came up after the timeframe then I’d count it as invalid.
Are you testing early?

Try test again first thing in the morning. The others may be negative if you’ve drank a lot or flooded the test.

It looks positive as the line is thick but can’t be relied upon past the timeframe. I would take another tomorrow morning first thing

Do you know you’re definitely 8 days late? As in do you know exactly when you ovulated? If 8 days late I would expect all tests any time if the day to show positive but if you’re not 100% sure when you ovulated then you may not be as late as you think

Hi @RachyKF it looks positive to me. If you can, get a clearblue digital one and test first thing in the morning xx

Get a pink dye. I cannot stress how terrible clearblue are unfortunately - there's lots of threads here about them. If after the timeframe, it can't be relied upon unfortunately, especially if 4 others were negative.

I would think that I’d you were 8 days late the tests would show positive almost instantly and would be very dark. I would take a digital and take that as the answer.

Thank you everyone! I really really appreciate you all getting back to me. I will do a digital test in the morning, just been to buy some.

Just to let everyone know, it was an evaporation line. And I will not be buying a blue dye test ever again.

What's your opinions on this.. evaporation line? Its a horrible mind game and I'm sure it's not a positive but would love your thoughts..very faint line

I'd say that looks positive as the line is pink, I believe evaps are usually less 'coloured' Only way of knowing for sure is to test again.
