Hi I was 36 in april and we made the decision to try for baby#4 last oct i fell pg in march so 5 cycles but relaxed trying and had a very early loss. As we have a family holiday august with our 3 beautiful boys (15,12,9) & im currently recieving treatment for h.pylori we have decided to wait till September to try again.
Just wondering how many cycles it took everyone after the age of 36? Mentally waiting is so hard right now as i know it could take months or possibly not happen why do we torture ourselves so much as i didn't feel like this whem we tried in oct I was very relaxed and chilled if it happens it happens but now feel its a race against the clock.

It took me 9 months at 32 and only 1 month at 36 🤷‍♀️

1 month age 31
5 months age 34
Miscarriage age 37 but wasn't actively trying
2 months age 37 (currently 33 wks pregnant)

Things that may have helped - ovulation sticks, premom app, seven seas pre conception tablets, conceive plus lubricant, eating Brazil nuts from day of ovulation.

36 last year and fell pregnant within the first month of trying, unfortunately mc at 8 weeks in October. Started trying again after Christmas and found out I was pregnant beginning of March just before my 37th birthday. Everyone is different though...try not to put too much pressure on yourselves, good luck 🤍

Ectopic then chemical the year before that though x

First cycle at (nearly) 36. Massive surprise as previous pregnancy was 2.5 years of trying.

2 months at 35. 1 month at 37 and 1 month at 38. Second and third pregnancies both ended in miscarriage.

Nelbert19 · 22/07/2023 19:07

4 months at 33
18 months at 36 (got BFP the month before starting IVF!)

Mummyme87 · 22/07/2023 19:11

Had no issues conceiving my two boys and when I had my ectopic, then started ttc at 34 almost 35 and took 19months to conceive

Ilovepotato · 22/07/2023 19:13

2 months at 32
2 months at 36

So, no difference for me!

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 23/07/2023 19:02

Same as @Ilovepotato almost.

3 months at 32
3 months at 36 - month we caught we did SMEP and it worked for us. Now 22 weeks x

allgoodthings84 · 23/07/2023 19:26

5 cycles at 37 (early miscarriage)
1 cycle at 37 (straight after previous-early miscarriage)
1 cycle at 38 (straight after previous-now 35 weeks pregnant)

it really doesn’t matter how long it takes others though as everyone is different and even the same woman can take different amounts of time every time

ThomasinaLivesHere · 23/07/2023 19:31

4 months - I was really ill for most of the month and so only DTD once so really lucky. We were originally going to miss that month out completely as it meant late December baby. I am 37.
