Sticky part of plaster on c section wound causing it to open?

Is it standard practice when dressing a c section to apply the sticky part of a dressing/plaster onto the wound itself? This is what happened to me when the middle started to open, the soft part of the plaster applied to the middle of the wound, then the edges of the plaster sitting on either side over the rest of the wound.

This is what's happened to me 8 weeks post op following a small opening in the centre. Now there's small openings across the scar where it had been closed and I'm convinced it's because the nurse dressed it the way she did. I'm so upset. So upset.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

No this is not standard practice. Can't say whether this has caused your wound to open but the sticky part should definitely not be applied to the wound itself. So sorry that has happened to you. It sounds as though they have used a dressing that is too small. Has a doctor reviewed the wound since the openings have occurred?
