Hi - I had a MMC earlier this year and by 6 weeks I had all the symptoms - sore boobs, going to bed at 8pm level shattered, starting to feel nauseous. I’m now 6 weeks with my second pregnancy and have no symptoms - nothing. Feel completely normal. Just wondering if anyone else had lots of symptoms first time round, then nothing the second time, and it all went on to be fine? I’m already really down thinking this pregnancy is already over too :(

Hi unless you have heavy bleeding and cramping assume that the pregnancy is still ongoing and try to enjoy it.
Good luck xx

Sorry to hear about your MMC. I felt really anxious in early pregnancy too, didn’t really “believe” I was pregnant until 12 week scan.

You know from your own experience that having symptoms doesn’t guarantee that all is well, so try not to analyse it too much.

My own experience of symptoms - With my 1st DC I had very bad nausea from about 8 weeks to 14 weeks. No symptoms before that.

I’m pregnant now with my second - no symptoms until 8 weeks when I had nausea again but much less severe than my first pregnancy and didn’t last as long. I’m 12 weeks now, had scan and all seemed to be fine.

Hi there. Sorry to hear about your previous loss. I have had 3 miscarriages all around 5-6 weeks previously and would have had a few early symptoms with each. I am currently 6w4d and had a scan this morning with foetus measuring correct, heartbeat of 117bpm and correct p

Sorry hit post by accident and can't edit.

Hi there. Sorry to hear about your previous loss. I have had 3 miscarriages all around 5-6 weeks previously and would have had a few early symptoms with each. I am currently 6w4d and had a scan this morning with foetus measuring correct, heartbeat of 117bpm and correct positioning. This time around besides tiredness I have no symptoms at all! Every single pregnancy is different. If you are worried, could you book yourself an early scan around 7 or 8 weeks? I know it's hard not to worry about every little thing after a loss.

Hi OP

Sorry about your MMC. My first pregnancy was a MMC (found out at 12 week scan) and I had full on nausea - I remember working from home with a basin beside me in case I needed it, but never actually threw up until I had a greasy takeaway that helped release it all for me!
I fell pregnant about 4 months after the MMC but didn't have any symptoms at all. Felt a little bit queasy when out for a run which prompted me to test and that's when I got my BFP. Other than that though, nothing. Pregnancy was fine and DD is now 19 months old :)
If you are concerned, contact your EPAC - after my MMC, I was advised to get in touch to arrange an early scan for when I was about 7-8 weeks pregnant. It really did put my mind at rest for those early weeks and kept me going until our dating scan.

Thank you everyone - I thought I wanted to wait until 12 weeks for a scan and try and make it through as I know I could have a good 8 week scan for example and then go on to have bad news so I wanted to just wait it out… but I might book one as you’ve suggested as I’m already worrying so much so early

@KeepSmiling89 will the EPAC give you a scan without having signs of a miscarriage? I'm just wondering as I've had two miscarriages - one at 6-7 weeks and another at 10 so I'm really worried.

OP I think you've had some sound advice. You really can't rely on symptoms alone. Although I understand your concern as I lost symptoms with my first miscarriage and my second I didn't have much in the way of symptoms at all despite getting to 10 weeks. I'm 5 weeks now and considering an early scan.

@calishire - after my MMC, I was advised to contact them to arrange an early scan for when I was 7-8 weeks because it was a missed miscarriage and there were no signs until the dating scan at 12 weeks.
