Looking to hear experiences of how long after losing your mucous plug did your labour start.

TMI but I was just pooping and actually felt it fall out 😬 it went down the toilet and there was more on the tissue when I wiped. I'm 35 weeks but have been losing bits for weeks. This seemed like the whole thing.

No blood in it tho.

What was your experience?

It can mean something, it also means nothing to others. Try not to spot "signs" I was doing it for 4wks, u start to get very frustrated!

First time lost it around 37wks over course of a day or two. I did have some blood in it too. Was induced at 41wks.

Second time lost it at 37wks there was so much of it, it all came away from morning to afternoon. Don't think it had any blood but can't remember. My waters broke that night as I was getting in to bed, baby born next morning.

I was induced with my first and actually lost it about an hour before the whole process started 😬 so I'll never know if it was going to mean something for me or not! That was at 37 and 6. Today I am 35 weeks but also have polyhydramnios (extra fluid) and my bump is huuuge so half expecting to go early but obviously don't know.

I can't help but think about it and symptom spot now though. 🥴

DS1 was about 12 hours from losing plug to labour starting. DS2 was about a week.

About a week. It can regenerate so it doesn’t necessarily mean anything

I was bang on 35 weeks with my first baby, when I lost my mucus plug (at around 8pm).

My waters broke the following day, at 5pm.
Contractions were 2 minutes apart by 9pm and I had a c section at 1am, as the baby was breeched.

So for me, my waters broke less than 24 hours after losing my mucus plug!!

How are you feeling?

Lost mucus plug at about 9am, baby born by 4pm
Second baby though
