Hi I wondered if any one has had any experience with an induction at 39 weeks and what is the process I have to phone at 8 am on Sunday to see what time I need to go in but that’s all I know I had a sweep on Tuesday which hasn’t started anything but was 2cm then will they just break my waters I don’t want to have the drip so will refuse that if offered this is my 4th baby and never been induced before will I be in a room on my own and will be partner be able to stay with me

We're so similar 😂 I'm going to be induced on Monday sometime, I'll be 39+2w and this is my fourth baby too. I've had 3 sweeps, none of which worked, but the last one I had done on Wednesday afternoon I was told I'm 2cm dilated. I had an induction on my last baby in 2021 but I was 41+6w so more than ready. I had a pessary and was only in labour for 1hr 27mins. I'm really quite anxious for this one because all my baby's have been overdue so right now is still early for me. Hoping it'll work quickly which ever way it happens and it's not dragging out for days. All the best for tomorrow!!

@MuMmaOf3littles oh wow that was fast I’m hoping not to be in for days aswell all mine have been over due apart from my first was a few days before due date so o feel the same that its early for me too

With me I didn't need a balloon or pess, just went straight to breaking waters. It did start contractions but 4hrs later it wasn't really doing much so they went to the drip. Oh my gawd, it was hard and fast but you soon forget it, and as soon as baby is out, it stops.

Midwife asked my friend (this was on covid so DH was looking after son and friend came for support) how long did she think until baby was here. Friend said before midnight (this was 8pm ish)... Midwife laughed and said no.. within 2 hours baby was here. All the midwives said how fast it was 😂

How frustrating! Ive been told to ring at 8am on Tuesday too the morning of, was hoping it would be early as with my trust partners have to leave at 8pm if you are not showing signs of labour
Keeping positive for you x
