TTC with high blood pressure?

I was diagnosed as having high blood pressure and put on meds. I was wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant with high blood pressure and what that means for the pregnancy and birth? Are there extra measures? Is it a high risk pregnancy? Is it wise to get pregnant? I should have asked all these questions with the GP but I was just in disbelief that I forgot to ask anything! Thank you in advance for any info 😊

@Kayfayday Hi, i never had a problem with my blood pressure until i was 38 weeks pregnant with my daughter.
It shot up. I got preeclampsia and had to be induced straight away.
That had been nearly 5 years ago and i would love a second. My blood pressure has never gone back to what it use to be but I'm not on any medication for it. Everytime I've been to the Dr's about it (i do home readings and feel as it's too high and can't understand why) they say the average readings are ok.
A few months ago i went again and said I'd like to try for another baby. Gp contacted consultant asking if i was ok to and she replied that my blood pressure had to be below certain number.
Gp did give me information on 2 blood pressure medication that's safe to take whilst pregnant and something about aspirin.
Anyways I've decided not to try for another for now because tbh it does worry me.
You do beed to discuss it with your Gp. For a start, you may have to change medication that's safe whilst pregnant.
Good luck x
