My newborn was just in a sleepsuit and swaddle, born in March (it was a warm spring that year).

This time of year I'd make it a short sleeved vest and swaddle/sleep bag/blanket.

Worth remembering being too hot can be dangerous, being a bit chilly is just uncomfortable.

each sleeping bag comes with its own recommendations as the togs vary even if they say they are the same. so make sure you Google the right brand if you haven't got the original packaging to look at.

Congratulations! My LO was born this time last year and i found this sort of chart quite helpful https://thepositivebirthcompany.co.uk/parenting-blog/how-to-dress-your-baby-for-safer-sleep

When it was really hot last summer there were times that she was in just a nappy and light blanket or even just nappy on the very hottest days. Sleeping bags have a minimum weight guidelines so we didn’t use them at first and instead used a muslin blanket

in the day I found just sleepsuits (no vest) were fine when it was hot. And also rompers when it was really hot and we were out. Sainsbury’s do some great ones that popper all the way down which I found so useful because I could just lay her on it and not worry about getting it over her head etc.
