Morning sickness AND reflux??

I'm 9 weeks, and since 6 weeks I've been struggling with on and off morning sickness (all day) and reflux/ indigestion. Some days just one, some days neither and some days (like today) both at the same time Sad I've taken gaviscon today and tried eating small amounts but it feels like I can never work out what the best solution is and I just feel so rough!!

Not sure if I need advice, sympathy or just someone to say it won't last for ever but it's so tough!!

Honestly it's really rough and I think what makes it worse is if we felt like this while not pregnant, we'd be having time off work and resting.

It absolutely does get easier, it's just at different points for everyone. In my last 2 pregnancies it was between 16 & 18 weeks that I stopped feeling sick. Hopefully it's not that long for you!

I found with my first that Orange Juice ice lollies (pure orange juice not the orange flavoured) eased the sickness and with my second it was ready salted crisps. This time it's just ice lollies full stop! Trial and error on finding what works for you unfortunately!

@cossie13 thank you! Wouldn't wish it on anyone but also a bit glad I'm not alone, if that makes sense!

Oh ice lollies, I'll try that! I also can't stop thinking about salted Pringles....

On Wednesday I had this really big work do and I was so determined I'd be able to nail it without feeling sick and I did! And I think I thought I'd managed to mind-over-matter it but now today im thinking I just got lucky and got a day off!

Agree that it's just trial and error for what works for you during this specific pregnancy. With my first it was carbs that made the sickness and reflux worse, I ended up eating quite a lot of salted cashews and cubes of feta. With my current pregnancy the usual advice about plain carbs helped more. It'll be different for everyone each time

@happyclam absolutely it makes sense! Sometimes just knowing you're not alone helps in itself.

Definitely try ice lollies because at least you'll be getting fluids in you then too if they do work. But keep trying lots of different things, some will make you feel better and some will make you feel worse. And if you can't stop thinking about the pringles, eat the pringles!

I had a day off from the nausea last week and spent the day panicking something was wrong and now I wish I had just enjoyed the day 😂
