NIPT - No result - Anxious

Hi all. I have a history of loss and opted to have the NIPT / Harmony test done this time round. I had the bloods drawn at 10+4 and the same day on the scan I measured exactly 11 weeks however, my results have come back "No result" and I am having it repeated on Monday. I'm just wondering how common this is and if it has happened to you has everything been ok? It wasn't what I was expecting even though I was told it could happen. My BMI is a little high (I think 32?) so I know this can contribute but do feel worried now about everything. My last LG was born sleeping at 37 weeks and had DS but we didn't know until after she was born as it wasn't detected so I am anxious as it is. Hopefully someone can reassure me??

I’m so sorry for your loss. Yes - this happened to us. NIPT 11 weeks and insufficient fetal DNA. We were told to wait to 14 weeks to repeat. I’m sat here cuddling my 2 week old. I’ve been told it’s very common and not indicative of anything in and of itself.

I think it’s relatively common. I had NIPT in the US where it’s the standard test and the earliest they would do was 11 weeks by your dates but they said closer to 12 was better as less chance of needing to redo, and that was without higher BMI. It’s nothing to worry about.

Thank you so much to both of you for taking the time to reply. You've really reassured me!! I'll keep you posted xx
