1st trimester no appetite, just carbs

I’m 8 weeks and still have no real appetite. I just want carbs. Everything else makes me feel nauseous to look at, even though I try. Any good ideas of things to try?

Just stick to what you can eat and take a pregnancy vitamin if you can. In the nicest possible way babies are little parasites so will get what they need from you, leaving your body with whatever is left. The first trimester is all about survival and if that looks like white toast and digestive biscuits then so be it! Fruit and veg can be reintroduced when you feel less sickSmile

I was exactly the same, and just wanted white toast, green apples or cereal with full fat milk. Even the prenatal vitamins smelt like wee to and made me gag 😆 I just tried to eat when I fancied but worried that the baby wasn’t getting enough. Like the PP the baby will take what it needs first so try not to worry too much

You're nkt alone. I think most women have beige food through the first trimester. I was on a diet of uncle bens rice, fish fingers and microwaved veg for 3 months 😂

It's a do-what-you-have-to-to-survive period.
I found eating anything difficult weeks 6-14.

No ideas, just stick to what you fancy and don’t worry about it. I had a Dorito sandwich for lunch today.

I’m only 7 weeks and nauseous already. Crumpets are a life saver, can’t stomach anything else for breakfast but have to eat so I don’t feel even sicker :(

With my last pregnancy I stopped feeling sick after 14 weeks so I’m planning on getting back on the healthy foods then!

The other day I told my husband in all seriousness that I only want to eat bland salty food for the foreseeable future. Just stomach what you can and take your vitamins!

First trimester I lived on ready made mash, white bread and butter, haribos and strawberries. Just eat what you fancy.

I ate nothing but ready salted crisps and warburtons thins! It's just about survival in the first trimester. Take a good multivitamin and you'll be fine. Later on mini cheeses and nuts were my go to snack.

All I ate for the first 10 weeks was potato waffles and toast. Just get through the first trimester however you can, it'll sort itself out later hopefully!
