Am 39+6 today and feel considerably er... wetter down there than I have before. No signs of contractions and don't know if I'm being paranoid - but could this be slow leaking waters?

I'd give your maternity assessment a call and see what they say, maybe put a pad on and see if it continues?

Hi op I had slow leaking waters for three days with my last baby I had spoken to and gone into my maternity unit several times in that time frame saying I was concerned my waters were leaking was told unless your soaking a pad or your underwear it's not your waters I eventually went in with reduced movement was told after monitoring I was fine even though I had a big dip on baby's heart rate while being monitored was told it happens sometimes but they still wanted to send me home so I made a fuss and refused to leave and they finally did a test to see if it was my waters leaking which it turns out it was at which point I needed checking for infection and so did baby because it is dangerous to have your waters gone for over 24 hours

so please get checked and don't let them fob you off with unless your soaking through pads it's not make sure they do the dip test to check good luck xx

DAU can do a swab to check and it only takes a few minutes so give them a call

Thanks everyone, I've given triage a call and they've said to come in for a check. Assume being this close to due date perhaps they are taking it more seriously...

In my 2nd pregnancy I had a midwife at the hospital insisting slow leaks didn't happen and as I was only 35 weeks it must be urine. She only tested because I refused to leave until she did - I'd had the same first time round but further on and can be bloodt stubborn when necessary. I was right and labour came on very quickly and DS2 was born 90 minutes later.
