I am probably overthinking but is this a normal ultrasound??

What do you think isn't normal?

There isn’t anything concerning shown on this image. Whether the entire scan was normal is impossible to say but certainly this looks fine.

i’ve just compared it to many other peoples scans and to me it looks very different so i wanted a second opinion to calm myself

In what way do you think it’s different? A picture of a single moment in a scan doesn’t tell very much. Were they happy when they scanned you?

What looks wrong about it? This is literally a photograph taken of a quick timeframe, it can’t tell you anything about the health or look of your baby. Did the sonographer have any concerns? They will have seen baby from several angles so would no far better than us.

They would have told you at the time if something didn’t look normal. There’s nothing I can see that stands out as being unusual

Different how? If it was abnormal then they would have said. It looks totally normal to an untrained eye, like any other scan. We had a scan where DD1 looked like Hercule Poirot but she came out without a moustache!

I’m guessing you’re comparing to one of those text book images where it has the entire baby looking like a baby.

It’s actually quite hard to get a scan photo like that!

If the trained sonographer who performed the ultrasound didn't say it was abnormal, then yes, it's normal....
