Advice please on Clearblue weeks digital tests

Hi ladies,

I should be 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant today according to my LMP which started on 16/04. So this would make me nearly 6 weeks as I should be 6 weeks on Sunday of this week.

I have taken a CB digital test this morning and I still am only getting 2-3 on the test and I had 2-3 on there last Saturday so nearly a week ago!

I am so worried and concerned and I do not have any pregnancy symptoms at all either other than being slightly tired at some points in the day. No sore boobs, no nausea, nothing!

I am worried that my HCG and pregnancy is not progressing as it should be as I would have expected to see a 3+ on my test this morning.

Does anybody have any advice or have experienced anything like this please and what was the outcome if so?

Thanks xx

Hi @Hedgehugs,

Fingers crossed for us both that it's good news. I have a scan booked for next Wednesday I would be around 6 and a half weeks. I'm going to stop testing now and just see what my scan brings.

Is this a normal range for your hcg bloods? I haven't had any bloods taken x

490 says it’s within the expected range for 4w6d when I had the test done but I was hoping for more for the reassurance I need right now!

Hi ladies @CR7 @GrowBabyGrow @Hedgehugs @LadyJ2023 @allgoodthings84 @sexnotgenders @thecapitalsunited

I just wanted to update you all this morning. So the last test I took was the day I posted on here 26/05 and my result was 2-3.

I have not tested over the weekend, I have actually felt pretty relaxed as I just tried to put it to the back of my mind (something I can never usually do) but I actually did quite well, did not think on it too much and really enjoyed my bank holiday weekend!

Anyway back to work today and I had 1 CB digital weeks test left so I thought I would take it just to see if there was any progression on the weeks and I did actually get a 3+ this morning with my FMU.

Still no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever other than a little tiredness!

Unsure how I feel, still very worried but I was happy to see this.

I have an early scan tomorrow evening, should be 6w3d according to my last period so we will see what this brings.

What do we think!?

@lmp69 I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow. I’m glad you could put it out of your mind over the weekend and have a nice bank holiday.

I didn’t have any pregnancy symptoms except tiredness at this point. Later I got breathless easily but no nausea or cravings or anything like that.

I am praying for some good news tomorrow and I literally beg that I can see something good.

However, I am not going to get my hopes up and I do still feel very detached.

I will let you ladies know what tomorrow brings.

I bet it was a little sigh of relief seeing 3+. I tested yesterday 5weeks4days and was still on 2-3 weeks. I saw my GP today for another HCG blood test. Should get the results tomorrow, will be one week since the last one I had so looking for a decent jump in numbers. Let us know how you get on with your scan!

Hi @Hedgehugs yes, it was definitely! I didn't dare look at the test for about an hour and a half after as I was worried as to what it would show!

Let me know how you get on with your numbers from your blood test! Fingers crossed for you and I will let you know how I get on with my scan ❤

Hi ladies,

Just thought I would keep you posted as a couple of you asked to let you know how I got on at my scan!

So according to my LMP I thought I was 6w3d yesterday hence booking a 6 week scan. I had my scan and the sonographer confirmed the pregnancy was in the correct place and we saw a yolk sac but nothing else. The pregnancy sac was measuring at 5w2d which she said is normal measurements for this stage in the pregnancy but she said it was far too early on to see a baby yet.

Not sure if I should be worried or not, she has booked me in for a rescan next weekend when hopefully if the pregnancy is viable she should be able to see the embryo and a heartbeat.

The main reason I booked the scan was due to my tests fluctuating so much but with me being behind on my dates I suppose this would make more sense now. Getting 3+ on Tuesday when I was just 5 weeks would be correct in terms of the tests.

I am a little worried but my only saving grace is the fact that I actually have no idea when I did ovulate that cycle so this could be correct and I could only be this far along.

I just hope it develops into an embryo!

What are your thoughts ladies? @Hedgehugs How did you get on with your bloods? xx

@lmp69 I would say you ovulated later than you thought but I’m not an expert. I’ve seen a lot of people on here have really early scans and get worried about the dates but when going back a couple weeks later everything is fine. Hopefully it will be the same for you 💕

Yes, I am hoping so, I tracked for a week or so with ovulation on that cycle but didn't see a peak so I stopped tracking. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I did ovulate later than I thought and was just after I finished charting.

I will keep you posted again after my scan next weekend with another update ❤

Will keep everyone crossed for you!

Hedgehugs · 01/06/2023 15:23

According to my LMP I am 7 weeks today. But there was 3 weeks between my period & ovulation, compared to the “normal” 2 weeks, so I am taking a week off and assuming I am 6 weeks today.

I got my HCG bloods back today, was 490 when I was 4weeks6days and 6 days later when I was 5weeks5days it’s at 2107

So 490 to 2107 in 6 days I am taking as good news. I have heard of others having higher HCG but maybe mine is just low. As long as it’s rising that’s the main thing?!

I have an early scan on Monday so we will see.

@lmp69 sounds like similar situation to me working out my dates. If you ovulated later in your cycle it would affect how many weeks you are now. On your next scan there should be more to see :) xx

@Hedgehugs ahh that is good to hear! Yes as long as it has risen then that is definitely good so I would take that as a positive.

Fingers crossed for your early scan too, let me know how it goes!

Hopefully we are both just behind on our dates and everything will work out for both of us ❤

@lmp69 Hopefully you just ovulated late. I stopped charting because I used to have ‘no peak’ months quite frequently and it was driving me insane worrying about short luteal phases or missing out on ovulation. Our bodies do like to surprise us.

Keeping everything crossed for your next scan!

thosethreewords · 01/06/2023 20:01

@lmp69 you definitely could have ovulated say around weekend of 6th-7th May, first positive 10DPO ish on 18th May which would line up with you getting your 3+ earlier this week and the scan findings 🤞 for you.
I had a worry about the CB digital tests myself when I was very early in pregnancy (took a longer than expected to go from 1-2 to 2-3) and so I was sure I was having a miscarriage having had 2 already last year. But here I am 37 weeks pregnant with my "slow rise" HCG.

Hedgehugs · 01/06/2023 20:37

@thosethreewords I love hearing those kinds of reassuring stories, to have had slow HCG and a successful pregnancy 🥰

How did you get on at your early scan? x

Hi @lmp69 i think the scan was the same outcome as yours! I went in to the 6 week scan thinking I am 6 weeks 4 days. Gestational sac and yolk seen but no heartbeat. It was put down as measuring 5 weeks and inconclusive. Have a repeat scan booked for 2 weeks time. Hope just the dates being wrong but I have a bad feeling about it. It’s so hard to stay positive isn’t it!!

Hey,

Oh really! Yes we seem to be in the exact same sort of situation then! Mine was inconclusive too.

I have my repeat scan this Saturday which should put me 6w5d according to the dates I was told last week so we will see if things have developed.

I completely agree with you, the saving Grace I have at the moment is that I don't know when I actually ovulated as my cycle was messed up last month so I am hoping I just got my dates wrong but I have a very bad feeling about it too.

I don't know how I will cope if I'm honest if I get bad news this weekend as that will be 2 MC in a row.

Hi,

Well thank you! So relievedGrin

I had an internal scan and all good news, baby was there with a strong heartbeat and measuring bang on 7 weeks yesterday, so I had caught up a little bit still must have ovulated later than I thought which explains everything!

Can't put into words how happy I am and praying it continues to carry on being positive.

How are you? Any updates? X

Thank you,

I know it definitely was, I just need to try and enjoy my pregnancy now and not worry although that's very hard to do after my MC last time.

I literally don't have any symptoms at all, I get a little more tired than normal but only if it's quite late in the evening so that's really normal anyway.
If we weren't trying I probably wouldn't even know I was pregnant!

I explained to the sonographer yesterday about how I had no symptoms at all and it was worrying me and she said no need to be worried and to think myself lucky! She said it can be normal to have nothing and it doesn't mean anything is wrong.
Do you have symptoms? X
