Decent maternity leggings in UK?

Hi,

I've been looking to buy a couple of pairs of maternity leggings that I can wear at home but also out and about, so not see-through. Black would be fine so they go with everything.

Can't find any with decent reviews anywhere. I've even tried Googling for articles like 'best maternity leggings in the UK in 2023' etc., but even when an article talks up a pair, I check them out and the reviews are rubbish.

Does such a thing as a decent pair of maternity leggings that aren't see-through exist? If so, please tell me where! Ideally UK-based. Thanks :)

Most people on here recommend Love Leggings, which I will likely try for this pregnancy.

There are also loads on asos, so you could buy a few to try out and send back the ones you don't like! I have a couple of pairs of cycling shorts from there, the brands were south beach and Cotton:on, both of which I would recommend

I would not recommend the seraphine ones, which when quite thin and threadbare after regular use.

I have bought about 7 pairs of leggings and all non wearable 🙈
All see through or fall down.
All I can say is you get what you pay for.
Asda and boohoo absolutely awful quality.
The only ones which are a good fit and not see through are from I bought from next and I paid £26 for 1 pair but only ones I recommend and good quality.

my River Island ones are the best, can be bought direct or on ASOS

Love leggings. Trust me, you won't regret it. The same pairs have seen me through two pregnancies now - wouldn't be without them

I bought some ribbed leggings from Pretty Little Thing which I've lived in most of the pregnancy!

Maman Jojo Bébé!
So thick, not see through, soft, goes over the belly. Also continued to wear it postpartum as my scar was healing up!

Love leggings. Especially the sporty type ones, ‘revitalize’ I think they’re called. More supportive than the everyday ones

Lululemon align. Not actually maternity but they stretch in the right places and are 1000 times better than any maternity legging I’ve tried. I already owned them so didn’t size up and they lasted all the way through and could be reworn afterwards too.

Latched workout maternity leggings - great for just wearing around, lovely and thick and not see-through and very supportive.

I love the M&S good move maternity yoga leggings - whilst they are more gym type trousers they don’t look it unless you get very close!

Another vote for Love Leggings, nice and thick, had 2 pairs during my pregnancy and lived in them! No bagginess or see through.

Thanks so much everyone - will get shopping this evening xx

Thanks for the tips. I actually tried some Seraphine ones on the other day and they were see-through - annoying at that price! I think I'm going to try some Love Leggings ones x

Hey I recently brought some from a brand called Mum Essentials. They are a fairly new brand which I found on Instagram. I was quite sceptical, but in all honesty I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived, really soft and thick. I've ordered another pair because it seems like maternity leggings are so hard to find!

They should come up on google but if not check them out on Instagram x

I hope that helps x
