Hello,

My first day of last period was 17th April and I have a 31 day cycle. I tested positive 11DPO (Sat 13th May) with a faint line FRER and clear blue words "pregnant" 12 DPO (Sun 14th May).

I just took how many weeks and it says 1-2 weeks and I did a cheap boots pink dye line test as the same time (attached). I am worried should I not be 2-3 weeks now? And this line doesn't look very dark to me. I'm so anxious because I am going on a work trip to USA on Sunday for 4 days and scared I'm going to miscarry or have an ectopic while out there all alone and I won't know what to do.

Anyone?

The weeks counters on those digitals are notoriously unreliable, but in any case 1-2 weeks on those tests means 3-4 weeks in real terms, which you are. 2-3 weeks on the test would be 5-6 weeks, which you aren't yet.

Also, the only tests I would place any weight on are FRER when it comes to how dark the line is.

I know your pain. I suffered 4 early miscarriages and spent so much time obsessing over early tests. Get some FRERs and test again in the morning. Got my fingers crossed for you.

I think that line looks strong enough!

I think that line looks dark enough for 16dpo 🙂 congratulations!

Thank you! I have a first response rapid test I can take tomorrow will that be the same or does it need to be an early response 6 days early test to get a better sense of the line?

You'll still get a line on a first response rapid test, it just won't be quite as dark as a FRER. I wouldn't worry though, lines can really fluctuate this early on as it depends how hydrated you are etc. Hope you enjoy your work trip and try not to worry 🙂
