Had my non nhs NIPT blood test and they measurement for the nuchal translucency looked ok. I'm technically 10 weeks and 5 days but she said I looked a few days over that, 11 weeks or something.

Anyway how accurate is the measurement at this stage?

I only way to lesson my worries about abnormalities

It’s only measurable accurately from CRL of 45 mm/ 11+1/40. That being said, if it was normal then, then it’s most likely a normal measurement.

Thanks.

I measured a few days over at 7 weeks 2 days so I'm not sure if i am 11 weeks on the dot.

But yeah....

I am also thinking of doing a private NIPT before the NHS combined screening as I am 38 and would like to know if there is something wrong with the baby sooner rather than later. My NHS scan is only for when I am in week 13.

MayI ask which test provider have you used and if you have been happy with their service?

Hi. Google NIPT and your city and it will provide a list of providers. Or which city do you live in?

I had the IONA only because the nhs uses that one. I was given a list of 8 providers. The Iona wasn't the cheapest.

@sillyonehetpes I am in London. Did the test you do only look at the T13, 18 and 21 or do they check other abnormalities as well?

I just paid for that.

Decided against other tests.

If the nose is present and the neck measurement is good at 11+2, would that mean everything is looking good and the blood test should come back ok?
