Hi everyone!

I am 38 +3 weeks pregnant with my first. I'm really excited and on the look out for signs of labour. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me from their experience how close I might be based on info below??

Crazy urges to clean bathroom and kitchen despite never being avid cleaner
Baby right down low engaged
Past week very emotional and also overheating a lot
Braxton hicks average every hour
Period cramping, especially during the night
Boobs feel fuller
Baby measuring large (I am also small/short)
My mum was early with all her kids

Thanks everyone!

Every pregnancy and labour is different. I've had four, and the only thing that is common to them all (for me) is the contractions (eventually). Loads of women go in early to hospital, only to be sent home again until labour is properly established, which can be a bit soul destroying if you are in pain from Braxton Hicks or just general pains. If you get induced you get almost constant pain, so it is harder to work out. For me, the telling sign was the rhythmical nature of them - so pain, then no pain, then pain, getting closer apart. Wishing you the very best, it won't be long now.... x

Honestly I'd say none of the above scream labour. When you know, you will really know. Good luck !

Maybe, maybe not! You need to go with the flow. It could be another month yet and that month will be harder if you think it's imminent all the time!

The baby will come, when you're really in labour you'll definitely know about it. And even then as pp said, you have probably got a long time before you're established enough to go to the hospital.

I spent my last bits having hot chocolate, doing jigsaws and lots of naps. Savour these last bits of being able to do as you please!
