Morning sickness suddenly stopped?

I’m so anxious. I had an abdominal scan last Monday when I was (I think) 7w2d and baby was measuring a week behind but had a strong heartbeat. Since I was about 4-5 weeks I’ve had awful morning sickness with constant nausea, I’ve been on cyclizine which has taken the edge off but still be so unwell everyday.

Now today (8w2d going from LMP, 7w2d if it’s the scan) my nausea has completely vanished and I haven’t felt sick once. I’m so scared. Has anyone had this before? I phoned triage and she said to phone EPU tomorrow for advice. I haven’t had any bleeding or cramps, but had 2 losses since November so I’m really worried something is going to go wrong again 😭

I’m really sorry for your losses, your reaction is totally understandable but I really don’t think pregnancy progress can be determined by pregnancy symptoms.

Given your history you are probably entitled to a reassurance scan.

Also a healthy scan with a heartbeat reduces the risk of MC massively. i was told from about 25% to 5%!!

Just to say I have had variable nausea as well. I've not been actually sick yet (last pregnancy I was only physically sick a handful of times but felt sick a lot).

Had odd days this time where not felt sick between week 8 and now week 10 but had my strongest nausea this morning. Also just woken up from nap, tiredness has been extreme this weekend but other days I've been ok.

I have also seen a heartbeat at 7+3. I think your feelings are totally normal. I hope the EPU can put your mind at rest.

@LittleMrsPerfect your comment is very reassuring.

@LittleMrsPerfect thank you, I didn't know that about the heartbeat - I thought that was only from 8 weeks. I had a scan last week as they were worried it was ectopic which is when I saw the heartbeat and everything looked ok but now just worried as it's went from non stop nausea to feeling fine in such a short time

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 I do still feel quite tired but never had any other consistent symptoms like sore breasts etc my only consistent has been the nausea so I'm scared it's away now, although I also feel silly because of the amount of times I've been crying hoping to just stop feeling sick for even just a few hours.

@greyberry Hey, just checking in and asking how this turned out for you? i've had intense nausea for the past week and a half (Now 7 weeks 1 day) - saw heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days when ruling out ectopic and had multiple loses this year so worried it's suddenly stopped.

was having to wear those bands to help beforehand, i really hope everything turned out ok for you?

@mm1998 hey! I'm just back in bed after throwing up 🤣 the 'morning' sickness came back with a vengeance about a week after I made that post but progressed to full on vomiting as well. I'm at the stage where I can maybe get 3-4 days in a row without any sickness or nausea but some days I'm basically bed bound. On the plus side I'm now 22 weeks with a very active little girl. Hopefully your sickness stays away as your little baby keeps growing x

@greyberry This is amazing news congratulations! Really hope this is the case for me, as crazy as it sounds I enjoy the symptoms as keeps me sane thinking everything is ok. I know its's out of my control either way by now though so just going to enjoy it whilst I can.

Thank you for coming back to me 🤗and really wish you the best in the rest of your pregnancy 💞xx
