Surge or Pregnant???

Hi all,

I wrote a similar post the beginning of the month just before AF was due as I had used an OPK to test and had an almost positive line and was unsure what it meant.

I guess I'm back asking the same question again. This time AF is one day late (due today and since the 27/04 I've been having very positive OPKs. I've become a poas addict this week. But the test line comes up straight away and is darker than the control line.

I will do a HPT by maybe in a few days time. I usually have a 27/28 day cycle every month.

What do you think?

Thank you. (Photo attached)

As af is late I would do a test now. It’s the only way to know

I had lots of ovulation tests and only one expensive pregnancy test. I was similar to you. I got a really strong reading with the ovulation test and af was late so I used the pregnancy test and indeed the ovulation test was picking up on the pregnancy hormone. In my experience it’s been a good indicator but obviously you have to take a pregnancy test to confirm.

UPDATE

For anyone in the same position who may come across this post. The ovulation tests were indeed picking up pregnancy hormones and indicated I was/am indeed pregnant. So it does work. I know maybe not in all cases but for me it sure did x.

@2LoveBugs Ovulation tests do pick up pregnancy hormones so will always show as positive if pregnant. However you can also get a positive just before af comes so a pregnancy test should always be used to determine. Congratulations on your pregnancy
