Any experience for possible miscarriage 6 weeks pregnant

I found out I was pregnant at about 4 weeks. I had some spotting but no period and then got my BFP a few days later. I was referred to the EPU due to 2 previous miscarriages and wanting to be put on progesterone.

They scanned me at what my app said was 5+3. I was told there was a gestational sack and yolk sac and was where they would expect at that point of the pregnancy - between 4 and 5 weeks. She said she couldn't be more specific. I was given progesterone and told to book in for 2 weeks time to check for a heartbeat. That scan is on Wednesday coming.

Everything was fine. I have had sore breasts and from the Wednesday just gone my nausea got worse and I've been sick a few times.

But also on Wednesday when I went for a wee I wiped and saw bright red blood. It lasted the day, it never went onto the pad, was only when I wiped and seemed to lessen as the day went on. By Thursday it looked older and was a lot less and then was more or less nothing since then.

I've continued taking the progesterone but am wondering if that's the only reason the bleeding stopped. This morning I went to the toilet for a 'bowel movement' and there was some definite pink on the tissue. Nothing more or since.

I'm absolutely terrified of the scan on Wednesday as I feel sure it's going to be the news I'm dreading that I've lost another baby. Has anyone had anything similar, or been on progesterone and had any sort of bleeding? I'm trying not to get my hopes up but also don't know if past experiences mean I jump straight to worst case scenario....

TIA

Truly the only way you'll know is with the scan, but I have had something like this and it turned out ok. Had a lot of bleeding around 4-5 weeks (enough that I thought I'd had a period), and got referred to EPU when it didn't stop. The scan found a gestational sac but no heartbeat and I was told to expect a miscarriage. Then the follow up scan 10 days later showed a perfectly healthy pregnancy. I continued to bleed on and off throughout the first trimester and again in the third but they never found a reason for it. My son is now 2 and fit as a fiddle.

However, the next pregnancy I had no worrying signs at all. Went for a private scan at 8 weeks, and there was no heartbeat. Follow up 2 weeks later confirmed it was a missed miscarriage. You honestly can't know until you've had the scan. I know it's impossible in real life but try to just go with it and stay as calm as you can. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Just in case are you sure it's not haemmorhoids? That would fit with it being bright red and only when going to the loo. Fingers crossed it's that.

@elepants thank you for your experiences, I'm so sorry you had to go through a loss too ♥️

This is my fourth pregnancy now and every single one has involved bleeding, even the one that led to my amazing daughter. Even though I know I have to wait and have a feeling in my gut I always try and cling to hope

@Mummynew08 it's definitely not hemmoroids, unfortunately it's coming from the front 😞 thank you though x
