Hi I was sterilised with my 4th c section on the 9th January this year so 14 weeks ago . After I had really bad pain on my left for 2 weeks . My periods returned and where really heavy painful lasting 5 days . This month 5 days b4 my periods due I've had what looks like a implantation bleed happen . It's only when I whipe and no flow too it much lighter in colour then normal period . This is really different from my normal period . Surly my sterisation hasn't failed so soon has anyone else had anything like this at all ?

Have you done a pregnancy test?

Mrsjayy · 23/04/2023 17:15

Take a test ,?

I was sterilised 20+ years ago I had pain and unsettled periods for a few months afterwards

but if you are obviously in pain or unsure get checked out.

Did they not remove / partially remove your fallopian tubes?

im 6 months pp and my periods haven’t returned yet. I do sometimes get a bit of ‘pink’ when I wipe, usually after I have done a hard workout

It’s normal for periods to take several months to settle down following having a baby. Your period isn’t due and your tests are negative so far so I wouldn’t worry until there’s something to worry about.

I had clips . I guess it's just my body taking its time too return too normal again maybe . Thanks

Hope all is well and it’s just your body settling in I’ve requested to be sterilised at my c section in a few months and hoping it doesnt effect things too much and gives a good level of contraception as I really struggle with the pill and don’t want the coil!
fingers crossed for you
