Will I stop snoring after pregnancy?

Despite being a back sleeper all my life I never snored - until I got pregnant. Now it's so bad that DP and I take turns sleeping in the spare room. This morning I woke myself up with the snoring, I became aware of the noise but didn't realise it was me until I'd woken up!!

I'm really hoping it (and my carpal tunnel) goes away after delivery 😭 has anyone experienced this and can give me a bit of hope?!

Fingers crossed the snoring will stop, but your carpal tunnel might get a bit worse at first. I think mine cleared up around 4mo post partum.

Try and be mindful about how you're pushing the pram and holding the baby, there's some tips online.

This was me even down to us sleeping in separate rooms 😁 Mine did disappear after baby was born but TBH we were so bloody knackered looking after a new born snoring was the last thing to bother our sleep 😁

Following as also suffering from the snoring badly!

Mine did!

I find those nose strips help considerably though if you want to try something in pregnancy.

Yes, I stopped snoring.

Ah don't worry. I snore so loudly when pregnant that I sometimes wake myself up but not at all at other times. Not sure if it stopped the day I gave birth but definitely didn't last!

I still snore Blush poor DH sleeps with headphones in!

Nope. It will be worse.

Everything related to muscle tone became weaker during each of my pregnancies, and never regained its full strength afterwards. Before having dc I never snored or burped, and very rarely farted. Afterwards...dear God.

I developed an awful pregnancy symptom that I still suffer from, 6 years later!

HoppingPavlova · 23/04/2023 15:56

Mine continued after. Never snored before but have ever since. I don’t mind at home but on planes etc I do feel for the people around me. Probably farting as well.
