Sorry if this is a silly question but does anyone know if it’s safe to visit and interact with donkeys while pregnant. I know there are some concerns about lambs and sheep but wasn’t sure about this

If it is the one at Sidmouth I doubt there would be much interacting based on my last two visits . Assuming donkeys are similar to horses nobody advised me to avoid them when I was pregnant and I interacted on a daily basis .

Whats wrong with donkeys, lambs and sheep while pregnant?!?! I'm pregnant and have seen all three recently!

Donkeys are fine as far as I am aware. The risk with sheep/lambs is getting in contact with the fluid and the potential for toxoplasmosis. Dry lambs should be ok I think.

It's not safe to be around sheep in lambing season. I took my class on a trip to the local community farm when pregnant and had to steer clear of the barns.
