Has anyone experienced sore and bleeding gums in pregnancy?

im not really noticing it until I brush but where I’ve previously had teeth out so there’s just a hole (😂) it’s sore all day!

Anyone else had this?

Im already on Duraphat 5000 for sensitive teeth and have been since 14 weeks not sure if this helps gums in any way x

Hey @Theirmumxx no words of wisdom, but funnily enough I’ve noticed my gums / or just 1 part really has been so sore the last few days!! Almost like it’s bruised 😂 I’m 16 weeks. A bit worried as our dentist just went private and I didn’t get in quick enough to get a space - so I don’t even have a dentist now!! But defo tender when I eat on that side and funnily enough it’s near where I’ve had a tooth out too! X

My gums have been so sore and bleeding right from when I found out I was pregnant! I had a check up at the dentist so I asked and they said it was really normal in pregnancy and not to worry xx

Yes!!! I am on number three and each pregnancy I have had sore gums. I went to the dentist especially on the first two because the pain was so intense, there was nothing wrong just pregnancy related! It was so bloody painful though! Thankfully it did go but I had to ditch my electric toothbrush till I gave birth. Have you tried a softer toothbrush at all? This helped me immensely!

It's so normal in pregnancy. Good you're on duraphat. Keep brushing/flossing/ tepeing twice a day
